Pure fantasy in my opinion.

He won't leave Liverpool.

People said he wouldn't leave Man City as well and he did

Wouldn't get my hopes up. He's done really well at Liverpool this season, and he seems to have found a good bond with the club and the fans.

I would love Craig to come back next season, he is what we need plus one more speed merchant!

He's a great player & If he does comes back i hope it is this year, also i think he might be too old to sign next year (2014 season)..he is 33 next month. :old: :ayatollah:

I would be delighted to see Craig back home where he belongs.

I think it was more the clubs fault rather than Craig's for leaving any kind of deal too late last August.

If he is meeting the owners then that's a good sign, but surely they'll wait till next year when he'd be available for free?

If they do sign him I think we'll be right in the mix for promotion :ayatollah:

Can't believe he went to Liverpool in the first place, I thought he would end his career here. However would be chuffed to bits if he came back, he is quality on the left hand side and if we can get Tommy Smith out on the right or possibly Chris Burke back then things would be looking up but we still need two quality strikers to get us 20+ goals a season each and I think then I would be confident of us going up :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

You will not get Christ Burke back, unless we pay mega bucks.

Yes I know Bells had already committed himself to going over there this Summer to work with VT/TG, but it is much more than that now, lets hope a deal can be struck up with all parties incl Liverpool. :ayatollah:

i said about 6 weeks back !!!

The only club I will play for is ccfc so he went to liverpool you dont say that publicly unless its true.He disappointed me in the end but on the pitch I loved watching him play would be a good signing prob next season for free.

DID NOT - Have the chance to get us up in the play off game with Reading...sat in the stand watching the game with the rest of us...but got us to that point of the season with the help of the other team members...except Byewater and JLS...FACT

Football is full of mercenaries shocker.

Football sold it's soul in 1992 with the advent of the new Premier League. A completely new, legally different entity to the rest of the league from which it came.

Then there was the break on the player's wage cap. Who brought that in? Jimmy Hill.

He campaigned to break it - weirdly, his teammate Johnny Haynes was the first big earner from it:

In 1957, he became chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) and campaigned to have the Football League's £20 maximum wage scrapped, which he achieved in January 1961,[3] when Fulham teammate Johnny Haynes became the first £100 player.
