I assumed that 35 mil was the season budget, consider our losses coming out of that too, see my previous post

What's so exciting about it? It's nothing new.

A cash injection of £35m this season is not exciting?

We have 10 mil for players? Didn't we have 5 mil in January? And we are rebranding for this?

Can you read? there's a clear paragraph in the statement outlining the 100 million inverstment!

£35 million investment for the new season that includes a transfer budget and 10 million earmarked for Langston

We were losing 1.5 million a month, so that's include that

1.5 million x 12 = 18 million

10 for Sam

= 28 million

35-28 = 7 million

Anything else to subtract?

Pretty sure running costs don't come out of an investment injection?

What a Crock of Sh!t!!

Vincent Tan has just respouted information that we already knew in a way thats more palatable.

I understand the change needs to happen i appreciate we cant survive the way we are going but at least make it a badge and kit we can be proud of not some j league kit with a badge that looks like it was drawn in the dark.

Karl's design is pukka and should have been taken on board by the club at least it makes us look a lot more offical as opposed to a mickey mouse wrexham in disguise.

See how comments regarding mcphail and earnie playing a big part next season are being spouted about insinuate's that we are not going to be spending upfront etc.

I just want credible information that i can understand.

I support City not the colour but this guy is making it hard to trust what you love. :ayatollah:

The quote is :
Going forward, Cardiff City is expecting a cash injection in the amount of £35 million to meet its financial obligations for the period from now until May 2013

Total running costs that sounds like too me

Not only is it not exciting Tony but it's nothing new to Cardiff fans having one man putting £100m of his own money into our club.

Happens every year doesn't it. ;)

Unbelieveable some of the replies already on this thread absolutely unbelievable.

I have to question that. We have £25m net after Langston is paid off plus the £20m the club generates itself.

£45 less operating losses/wages (£25-30m) leaves a transfer budget of around £15m.

Re: " Vincent Tan Statement "

Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:35 pm

its £35 mill for players/wages this year.

£10 mill goes to sam/langston leaving £25 mil

from that £25mil we are currently using £1.2mil per month (£14.4mil anually) on running costs and wages so up to next year...

so that leaves us just over £10 mil war chest for this year, including wages and agent fees etc.

now thats exciting and great that Tan cleared it up

Again we are in agreement Castle, plus as pointed out by others there was something new in the statement namely marketing us via Asian TV stations which could be priceless.

Apart from the fact you have included wages twice, you have also left out the fact that club generates £20m p/a itself from Season Tickets/TV Revenues/Sponsorhsip etc.

Your absolutely right he owns a Sports TV station he wants to attempt to sell the clubs games but who the hell would want to watch.

£100m tells me he thinks people will.

May be Malaysians (or Asians in general) have a brighter and more positive outlook on life than you have? They are football mad and I'm sure VT will market everything to maximum affect.

Personally I'm extremley excited and I simply can't understand why anyone would want to find fault with a guy willing to give us £100m :?

Short answer yes you have totally missed the point.

See posts Merlin, Castle etc.

Re: " Vincent Tan Statement "

Thu Jun 14, 2012 3:43 pm

I think it's a very positive statement from Tan and it's great to actually hear directly from him in relation to the club.

He states that £10m has been allocated for Langston.

That's great - but why not pay it off straight away?

If the money has been allocated, pay it now and get rid of something that has been hanging over our club like a bad smell for far too long.

i included wages twice on purpose because new players will have a wage too :p and that will have to come from the £10 million as well.

i also didnt include the Season Tickets/TV Revenues/Sponsorhsip etc. because there is no need to....they are already accounted for....think about it:

Tan puts £1.2 mil per month EXTRA so that we break even, our income and expenditure which includes all that is 1.2mil in the red. his investment only needs to cover the EXTRA as the club breaks even for the rest.

simples
