The pressure is on Malky !
Seems like the owners are doing what they said they would do by backing Malky with a large transfer fund.
Malky has done a good job so far on a limited budget. Can he do better with a larger fund available to him?

I appreciate City want to strike the best deal possible but why is it that we always go in very low with an initial offer, e.g. Noone and then not get the player. If the money is there you would have expected us to sign Keogh from Coventry. We allegedly offered 800k and Coventry want 1m. if he is that good why not pay the price that would seal the deal rather than lose the player to another club?

Its all good seeing new players comming but tell me this then carl and be honest if we have the biggest playing budget for players for a prem push this season how comes the malaysians will not give sam his 10million he wanted then but there waiting 18months(as you said) to wrap the deal up with him, it would make sence to settle him now would it not ?, why hang it out for another 18months to try settle it but there doing the rebranding in the mean time and whatever is next over the 18months we all have to take on board as fans with the like it or lump it tactic again. This does not make sence because if we are in the prem by some miracle this time next year whats stopping sam from saying oh great sky money and other steams now so i will go for the FULL amount im owed. To me it sounds backwards but who the f**k am i.

Unfortunately the same thing was true last season and the season before. Unless it is significantly more than previous years and not just a couple of extra thousands then it is a just another statement that doesn't mean very much. The thing that is more interesting is how they will live up to the statement last weds that the budget will be prudent and viable. How do they plan to find the extra income to make the budget shortfall significantly less than the 12m in last accounts? Otherwise if the langston debt isn't settled they are just adding more debt to the club.

Thats why i asked carl what i said in the post above yours there willing to doge something that could end up three times the amount in 18months time, to me its stalling on them turning there money in to equity and this is another smoke screen even if we do spend millions like you said, its more on the black hole of doom. Be intresting to see what carls says to my post.

Look forward to the new players coming in

Is the "Biggest Budget to spend on players" for transfer fees or inclusive of wages etc?, or do the wages come under a seperate budget?

I would take a guess that it is wages and transfer fees in one.

Haha, think we guessed that as we have changed to a red strip pal?

If malky does get this budget and he does manage to sign his targets what will the monthly losses be then, the wage bill will be even bigger ffs
Tue Jun 12, 2012 9:12 pm
Seems as every other manager reckons they have had next to nothing thats open to a wide interpretation!!!!

Yep and losses = loans from the malaysians with intrest to keep us afloat thats why i asked carl what i asked it seems backwards to me

Craig was down Ccfc today actually.

Hopefully this will be true. But ent going to get exicted because we still need to 'USE' it wisely and bring in the right players with quality. I dont want us to be blowing money on 1 player. Amount we should spend on 1 player at the highest would be 2million.

The Malaysians are liars, and full of shit.

As others have said, better players require bigger wages. If we don't sort out the debt and fail to make the prem we are even deeper in the shit. Doesn't matter though, wer playing in red so wer bound to win the league by Christmas.

john carew it seems, can't wait to see him at the pressed standing proud in front of the blu... oh wait
will be horrible watching any new player and come in, they will have cost me the colours of my club
they will be the pleasing face of the rebrand for the happy clappers that we sacrificed our heritage for
the signing of Kurt nogan fills me with more satisfaction than any new player will this summer
sickening

As far as the Club goes the talking stops we have heard it all before. Now lets see if the players arrive. Exactly how much is Malkys war chest ?
Wed Jun 13, 2012 5:50 pm
As i understood it. the offer to Sam was 10m (secured) over a few years??
If this or anything similar is the case it would make perfect business sense.
Why give ANYONE 10m all in one go when you can do it in instalments and leave
the bulk of it in your own account gaining interest for you instead of vice-versa
Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:28 pm
ROLL up carl then because ive asked him three times in this thread to answer my post i know what im talking about and i dont need to read MB to know whats going on either. Taffy, sam does not want silly payments now thats just it and when he did the malaysians turned around and changed the payments AGAIN on the day they was supposed to wrap the deal up if i was him i would tell them to do one wait till the prem and ask for three times the amount hes owed then not 1/3 of it like he wanted but got messed about again with.

This story breaks as unrest grows with the rebranding and fans requesting their money back on season tickets .
Only the naive will believe until the Ink is dry on the transfer papers.
