Pretty sure there is still a bluebird on the badge. Must be hallucinating

They are NOT changing the Nickname, we still play in blue (albeit away). For now, we are still the BLUEBIRDS. As long as we are Cardiff City FC that's all I need to keep supporting the boys! :ayatollah:

Re: my letter to the club

Yes we are the bluebirds. More importantly though we are Cardiff City FC.

Whether we play in red, blue, with a dragon or a bluebird for a badge we we still be Cardiff city
I will continue to support them irrespective of what colour they play in because they are my home club and the team I've always supported

How can you call your self a loyal supporter of over 40 years when you are prepared just to turn your own back on the club?

Re: my letter to the club

The clue here is:

"A season ticket holder for over 40 years"

This feller has put up with pissing down rain, shitty teams, shitty managers
shitty owners, shitty relegation battles, takeovers, High Court Orders.
pitiful crowds.

Call him rash, impetuous, blinkered, tell him he's living in the past, tell him the
show must go on....

But he's entitled to his point of view. Of course he's a true fan.

He is exactly the type of supporter the Club should be bending over backwards to
keep.

What part of loyal don't YOU understand ? The guy has been following Cardiff for 40 years ,respect his opinion and stop f*cking mocking him !

Re: my letter to the club

Fair enough, I understand what you're saying, but what's the point of walking away from the club after supporting them for over 40 years?

It's still Cardiff city.

I don't want the change to red, I'd rather play in blue. One thing is for sure is that whatever colour we play in and whether its a bluebird or a dragon on the shirt and whatever division we are in, in whatever weather conditions or whatever manager we have. I don't give a f**k if we are managed by marsians I will still continue to support and watch Cardiff City

That's my point and my
Opinion that if fans turn there backs on these changes then they are not true fans

By the way I don't mean to keep on posting the same post, I'm posting from my I phone and it keeps on re-submitting it.

Anyway, my opinion. If you don't like it I don't f*cking care. People who choose not to support the club because of the changed are pathetic, but that's down to them. There will be plenty so called plastics to replace them. Again, my opinion to coin a phrase that is frequently used on here.

I'm not saying that getting to the premiership is the be all and end all, however being able to support Cardiff city is, in the contex of football in terms is the be all and end all and that's why I'll be supporting Cardiff playing in red next you bunch if f*cking over sentimental soppy f*cking tarts!!

I can understand what you are saying I am still weighing things up on what to do with my season ticket.

I feel the same as you do mate and I been going since I was 5 so 34 years in total and have grown up supporting this club and as a result I feel the same pride and passion as you do and I also feel the same let down as you do and the same anger.

What a shame that laods of people have ridiculed you and mocked you.You are what I see as a true Cardiff City Fan and these people just DONT understand how deeply some of us support this club. All we are trying to do is fight for something that is so dear to us and if people want to mock you and call you a pretend fan and all the rest of it then fxxk em all mate.

How people can not see how much you care for your football club is because they are not and will never be as dedicated to Cardiff City as you are and they like me saying that but its TRUE.Just think long and hard about the ticket but it is hard to no were this new re branding fits into your heart for me it doesnt fit at all but I am trying and thats all I can do.

For 37 years I was a true fan, including remaining loyal well serving away for 8 years. Most of my Air Force buddies managed to save a stack of money while serving but not me because I spent it all on getting back to Cardiff for games. Took my son down as soon as he was old enough and we have season tickets in the Canton Stand which I would not have renewed if the changes would've been announced before I renewed (in April) and thus the reason I have applied to get my money back.

Now I no longer am a true fan in your opinion. Fine by me and a massive relief to my wife and bank manager.

therealjimmyscoular is as loyal as they come, he follows the city everywhere, and i completely agree with him they have ripped the heart and soul out of the club. Cardiff is BLUE, and it does matter to many if they play in red, even more so with that pathetic excuse of a badge. It just wouldnt be the same, wouldnt be the club we love not the bluebirds. I mean red for fucks sake, I think alot of you will realise how bad it is when you actully see them playing in it. May as well be Bristol City...as the red red robbin....
