Nuclearblue, its done get over it, I'm sorry but everything I have read on here today has your negative thoughts on it.
we will all miss the blue, ive been a city fan over 20 years but times change and if we come out of this £70million lighter then you have to move on.
How quickly they forget. The kit and badge are a joke but will be in keeping with the new plastic fans so it may be a match made in heaven.
How dare you call me a plastic, 11 years a city season ticket holder I beg your pardon.
Any fan who calls any fan a plastic, soul seller, sell out is a disgrace as far as I'm concerned.

Just read the news this morning on BBC and to be frank it is only what I expected, we had the same with Briatore, he wanted everyone to back him or he would threaten to take his investment away and let the club die, and god knows how many times we were told that he saved us from bankruptcy. But this is what super rich owners can be like, if they don't get their way they threaten to throw their toys out of the pram. And your Malaysians are no different. One word can describe them and that is BULLIES. Sadly most will fall for their tactics but the fact is that you can make a stand. Stop buying the season tickets, don't buy the shirts, protest. 25,000 Cardiff City supporters will have more clout than a bunch of Malaysians who will try and sell your club in the Malaysian markets (still mainly supporting Liverpool, ManUre, Chel*** (blue kit, doesn't do them any harm), Arsenal etc.
Cardiff City will always be Cardiff City, of they think that the club can compete with the likes of the above then they really are deluded, at best what would beckon is a team in the mid to lower half of the PL, and believe me it will cost them much more than £1million a month to cover losses then.
For me, today the real Cardiff City has died and has been replaced by an imposter. God rest the soul of Cardiff City.

Anyway. I'm as shocked as most about what I've seen today, thought this was all squashed a few weeks ago? Bottom line is it hurts to see your club in a different colour with a different badge but as others have mentioned its not those things that make the club, its YOU to a man that make Cardiff City, your songs, the people, the pubs you frequent, the atmosphere you create, the way you get behind your lads that's what makes a club to me.
Personally I love QPR playing in hoops & if they were to change I'd be gutted but you know what it would soon pass as all I look forward to on match day is seeing the boys, having a few light ales, a bit of atmosphere & a great laugh, the football is usually the bit that fcuks our day up!![]()
Your owners have made an extremely brave statement today so as far as I'm concerned the pressure is on them not you, not Malky, not the team, them the owners have created a rod for they're own back so go with the flow keep sing Bluebirds & everything else will fall into place
Easier said than done I guess but just my opinion. You make the club not a colour of a jersey.
Best of luck

i could live with the red home blue away, but not with that crest and the fact they are changing everything for some bucks in Asia.
many of my mates here in germany sent me messages today, they all believe we are passionate enough to strongly oppose the rebranding. sadly we arent anymore.
passion made me a cardiff city fan and a part of the Bluebirds family. At this second, I dont know what makes me more sad: the fact we have lost a vital part of our identity or the fact that the majority of our fans lost their passion for the club, the club we all loved...

I'm ok with the deal but you can't accuse me of losing my passion. Far from it. It would be easy to walk away now citing the rebranding as an excuse but my passion is for the club. If that means we play in polka dots so be it. The underlying strength is that we are Cardiff City. That's the brand, the history, the fans. Get some perspective and you can only speak for yourself, not me or anyone else.

so where is your passion? only that the team carries the CCFC as a name? to me its everything, the whole package. name, crest, colour, ground etc... and thats gone, imo. granted they are still CCFC, thats the last thing to change and it will.

My passion is behind the team, supporting them whatever gets thrown at us. A siege mentality. Passion isn't throwing your toys out of the pram. So what's gone? Name - no still Cardiff City. Ground - still at the CCS. Still wearing blue away and the badge at least has a bluebird. Not ideal but there are worst things going on in the world.
And why work yourself up about things that will never happen, we will always be CCFC. If they want to change it then worry about it. Until then go with the flow as it wouldn't surprise me if we are back as we were in a few years

name - still CCFC (will surely change sooner or later)
crest - gone
colours - gone (watch this space, we wont have blue as away colour after the following season)
ground - ninian park, gone
the team changes every year, so do managers and chairmen. but the identity and soul of a club has to be there, and that hurt me and I believe many like me: these things are gone, for a few new customers in the far east...

They should have let us go bust after the playoff final defeat 2 years ago. Why waste 40 million? Turn it into equity is it? Debt free too....we don't deserve it.

A reflection of so called modern football. Could man city operate with their wage bill without the Arab cash? Doubt it. Do they deserve it? It's a case of if you can't beat them, join them.

Rubbish. They have managed to retain their identity and have had some success, we have just sold out our identity.
