I'm going to get slated for this but Gwyn is kinda right.
Other than me mixing up the Thailand flag for the Malaysian flag, and hey and it was live, there'd be no programmes to show on it'll be alright on the night if we was all perfect and it was that easy, but in all honesty I was f*cking tamping, thinking our own fans may have played a part if f*cking up the investment did press a few of my buttons.
But as for everything else, I still stand by what I said, everyone can be wiser after the event, but I still have the same worries I had then and for the life of me, if the Red shirt was critical to us having the promised investment then in my eyes it was a price worth paying. I didn't want too play in red, I didn't want to change from blue, but as with the majority of people I was prepared to accept change if that was what the Malaysian requested to proceed with their plans.
And yes (and this isn't me having a go at the Malaysians or being negative ) at the end of the day, they could have still turned around and shafted us, but didn't they deserve a bit of trust after what they have done for us so far.
Some times you have to take risks and make sacrifices, didn't someone say, " if in life you do nothing, then nothing usually happens" some see this as progress, some see it as changing our history????.
Anyone watching the interview could see that you were tamping and as you know it was never the best time to do a live tv interview.Things have now changed since then so if you want to be negative towards the Malaysians then feel free. As you ended with a quote then I will do the same.“There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.” .
I have found it funny because from the start I obviously was grateful they came in when they did, and I have said at that time i would have accepted the Mafia, and I wasn't going to suddenly start saying they were wonderful people and everything was rosy, in truth part of me was thinking, there must be something bigger behind this, coz we are in a mess, and who in their right minds would invest in us, I don't think some of those people Ridsdale wheeled out such as Ben Steele and the opera singer who lived in Scotland did much to reassure me that there were genuine investors likely to come in.
So in truth I was half expecting a catch, but as time as gone on, I have become more trusting and slightly more confident they were here for the full shift and good reasons, seeing them both glowing and taking it all in after the Palace game reassured me that they had been suckered in to a romance with us the notorious whore.
The fan in me was saying, how can they not want more of that love and adulation, that sort of feeling you can't buy no matter how much money you got. And then when this investment was brought up, I seriously thought we had them hook line and sinker, so to come that close and then feel we'd lost it, ripped me apart in truth.
I had actually started to believe it was finally happening and at last coming true, I was daring to believe that dreams were coming true, but you'd think after all these years I would have known better, but at least if it comes or when it comes at least we will be able to say we never did it the easy way or took the easy option.
Possibly they may have shafted us in the future, but as they say "better to love and lose rather than never love" and f**k me, I should know a bit about that.![]()

Ok back to facts and truth, a strange request fOR a politician, even a failed one. Show me where I have changed my view or opinion, oh let me guess, you can't but yet another one who thinks if they keep repeating claims, then after a while they get accepted as facts.
You are a joke in politics, a joke on the Merthyr Martyrs web site couldn't believe how much stick you had on there as well, so at least you may be weird, but you are consistent![]()
