Re: GREAT IDEA FOR A NEW FOOTIE BOOK

I was up in London many years ago for the rugby England v Wales at Twickenham we were staying around Paddington and run into a bunch of Chelsea fans who decided to chase us don't know if they thought we were Arsenal fans or just fancied beating up a few Taffs :?

Anyway i was doing a fairly good impression of Usain Bolt with around 4 Chelsea in close pursuit but after running for a while i was out of breath so run into a shop doorway and turned around expecting a good kicking but to my surprise i was only faced by one Chelsea nutter. I promptly hit him on the head with my Welsh flag which had a fairly stout wooden pole this stopped him in his tracks and i hit him again whereby he turned on his heels and run and now it was my turn to chase him :D

Thought it was strange where the Chelsea mob had disappeared to and when i caught up with my mates i found that Mickey Zalla and a load of Aberdare boys had been in a cafe saw what was happening and promptly laid into the Chelsea fans leaving just the one guy who had persued me

I was however very lucky that Micky and the rest of boys were there that day because there were only 4 of us and we were outnumbered 4 to 1 by Chelsea and i have never liked Chelsea since that day

A couple of dodgy moments spring to mind for me. Both occasions in the 80's not sure the exact year, but a handfull of us Caerphilly boys usually got to wherever we were going by around 11am. Millwall away and waiting for the blind beggar pub in whitechapel to open when a mob of lads who turned out to be Arsenal and thought we were west ham chased us. I ended up down some back street looking around and thinking I'd been taken back in time, I swear this street looked like something out of a Jack the ripper movie. Then anyone who has been to Wolves on the train will know the pub on the right hand side of the road just up the hill. 5 of us went in there only to find around 25 or so Wolves lads in there too. One of the cheeky gits asks me "How long do you think you're going to be in here?" To which I reply "I'll be in here longer than you". They stood sort of around us making shitty comments but I remember thinking if it goes off this pub is going to be turned upside down, I would have been over the bar launching those small bottles like missiles. Really did think we were going to get a hiding that day
