If we weren't messed around by Brighton and Watford we could have had Craig Noone and Marvin Sordell playing for us. Anyway it has only just turned bloody June, I cannot believe that there are some people on here who are moaning about the slow income of players, it's ridiculous. Probably 95% of footballer's are on their holidays so it is a bit hard to sort out deals at the moment. I cannot believe that Malky is getting slated, he has not even gone on holiday or anything yet, he is still here working his bo**ocks off for this club. At least Malky tries to sign players early in the summer because when Jones was here we never signed anybody until mid July when most of the good players had already been snapped up.

Bloooooooooooooobirds.

Agree and I forgot about Vukic! :ayatollah:

My dear geggs_ccfc you tell us that Malky tried to sign this player, tried to sign that player,on what evidence do you possess that confirms those claims other than the fact you were told that it happened..........tell me my dear fellow, if Malky told you that he had Bigfoot as a pet would you believe him????

Thought not :D , but you're not the only one, as there's many other posters who make out they know things when it's merely speculation!

Well mate it was FACT that Marvin Sordell was on his way to Cardiff after a bid was accepted by Watford but as he was making his way down here Bolton put in a higher bid for him and Watford accepted their bid too, so obviously Watford informed Sordell about the Bolton offer - obviously they wanted him to go to Bolton as they offered more money - and the lure of Premiership football was far greater that playing in the Championship. Also, City made a few bids for Noone but Brighton kept upping the transfer fee and being difficult even after telling us that the £750,000+ bid that we put in for him would probably be enough. Finally, City put a £1m+ bid in for Phillips FACT. I know this as my brother was an ex-youth player at Blackpool and he is best mates with a current Blackpool player, who also came through their youth system, so he was told by him. Ian Holloway wanted £3m-£5m for Phillips anyway and he was quoted as saying that the only clubs that would have a chance of signing him would be the Top 3 in the Premiership. We also had a loan offer accepted for ex-Man United player Mame Biram Diouf, but the player himself rejected the move as he did not want to play in the Championship.

Will that do for you? :D
