Williams, Allen and Dyer. Possibly Vorm as well if he felt that Reina is not good enough with his feet. The players he's got there now are going to struggle with his passing out from the back game imo and bringing in the players mentioned would have bought him some time.
If he tries to play the same style with the current crop of Liverpool players as he did with us, he'll be lucky to last until the new year.
Williams?? Really?? I'd rather Spencer Prior in his ripe old age!!
You obviously don't watch him week in, week out.
Ermmmmmm No. Believe it or not, I'm a Cardiff fan posting on a Cardiff forum.
Iv seen enough of Williams to know that he can't cut it to Liverpools level. Who the hell would he even replace??
He his ahead of any of the Liverpool centre backs, especially given the style of play Rodgers would want to play.
Good luck getting the likes of Skrtel, Agger or Carragher playing that system.
He has been the rock our defence has been built on for the last few seasons.

Let's be honest none of your lot will ever play for LFC. Simply not good enough

Well our lot played them off the park twice last season so I would respectfully disagree on the point of them not being good enough. Allen is head and shoulders above the likes of Henderson, Shelvey and Spearing for instance and Dyer is a mile ahead of Downing.
I hope however, that none of them go on to play for Liverpool.

Yet downing plays for England and dyer does not so clearly people in the know disagree. As do I. I don't think LFC will ever be as poor or inconsistent as last season and teams like your lot benefitted. Play off the park and 1.0 tells a story mind but I can't be arsed to go there. Time will tell.

Downing this season 0 assists 0 goals. Should never have been anywhere near the England side and most pundits agree.
He, and Henderson, are in there purely because of who they play for, not on performances.

Haven't you heard? It's all over the Liverpool forums. Apparently he has a prove track record and plays attractive, attacking(?!) football!
Well he has really. Took the Jacks out of the hardest league to escape from (as we well know) and on a relatively small budget. Then in his first season didn't do a Derby or a Blackpool did a Stoke and this with playing attractive, attacking football.
I hope he screws up at Liverpool but he is beyond criticism really.
What's the attacking part about?
There is nothing in Swansea's play style that is attacking.
It's all possession based patiently waiting for the other side to pull themselves out of position so that they can move into the space left and pass into defence. I personally hate that style of football but I get where the attractive comments come from as it does look very goo when it comes off but to call it attacking football is pushing it a bit.
Also proven track record?
Took a mid table Watford side to mid table. Took a promotion candidate Reading side to the relegation zone. Took a play off challenging Swansea side to the Playoffs.
I've always felt that the best thing about Rodgers is his contacts in the world of football developed while he was a coach. If he hadn't signed Scott Sinclair they wouldn't have got promoted and only he, from his time spent as youth coach at Chelsea, would have known about Sinclair to sign him. Other than that I feel he's very average. Would be the sort of manager to establish a Premier league side in the prem or to take a championship side into the prem. Not much more than that.

We wax lyrical about Malky and he didn't do for us what Rodgers did for Swansea. Does that make MM below average?
