Isn't it a case of "we have made our case clear, the blue shirt remains, we carry on with things the way they have been running, and hopefully some further investors can be found in the near future".

The more I think about things, the more I think this may be the case, are we expecting VT to suddenly say " I made a proposal, which involved a huge investment and a change of shirt colour, and it was not acceptable to the fans of Cardiff City, therefor we carry on as we were, we will keep an involvement and support the club as we have been doing, whilst the club look for other investors".

Or are we expecting him to say " I came with a proposal, and asked for a colour change and was prepared to invest millions to fund this vision I had,the part I wanted which was to change the shirt colour was rebuffed, but I don't really mind and will still invest the one hundred million pounds anyway."

At least we will keep the blue shirts and if we have to exist with a cut price squad so be it, hopefully some investors will be looking to get involved in a club with a reported debt of seventy million pounds.

If we do get relegated and manage to keep twenty thousand + crowds, then with the new fair play rules coming in next year, we may be in a better position to compete in the first or second division with clubs who have a much smaller fan base, let's just hope our loyal fans stick with us and we should then at least have our destiny in our own hands, the more that come and the bigger the crowds, the more we can spend on players budgets.

Fingers crossed. :old:

dream on if you think someone is stupid enough to invest 70mil in a team! what planet are you on??? just curious???? 20k if relegated gets worse sorry off your head if you think we will get 20k in div 1 mind you at least we will be in blue!!! wont get relegated unless vt pulls out if he does welll unless you are blind! outcome is obvious and then what?? get your wish to watch city in blue in div ?? we end up in! blue at whatever the cost to club?? makes no sence whats so ever!!!

Hopefully lessons will be learnt from this.
We both concur, in truth there are those who would be quite happy for the investment to materialise - to change the club strip and badge, I am not ecstatic over such changes but would support it wholeheartedly for the longer term interest in the club. I also understand those who struggle to accept such a change. But I would add none should ride rough shot over each others views.
If it happens... Those not in favour I would hope would still support the club if they were in the minority and jump on board for yet another journey, even if it's with heavy hearts and if it doesn't materialise then again without animosity to what I believe would be a minority (if a vote was casted) and who didn't want change, for the majority to accept it and see where that train takes us - and this I believe is what Gwyn is saying in opening up the debate. I got no plans in going wherever either journey takes, but there will be some who won't, that's for certain and a shame.
Where I think the Malaysians have acted honourably is one - they didn't bulldoze the plans regardless of opinion - They plough in the money and could do what they want in order to recouperate there investment, no matter how distasteful, we have seen that happen at other clubs and two in view of the initial uproar of such proposed changes, they quickly acted to diffuse tension between the supporters and withdrew for time being there plans for there proposed way forward - which has left the club and it's supporters in limbo -
Personally I hope they stay, not sure whether in this economic climate the club will survive and hope those who presented the case for Cardiff City has done so well and retained V T and his financial commitment to the club.
This limbo I believe will come clear by as I said, in the absence of a documented statement by who stays, goes, comes in, but I know that's only my opinion.

Although I don't 100% agree with everything you have stated, at least I can see where you are coming from and the logic that you have applied. :ayatollah:

Like we made three million pound bid for that Watford player in January.
A five million pound bid can be made in five million different ways, a pound a week for five million years for example, bid made accepted no!

A pound a week for 5 million years would be £260m though Gwyn  An interesting , but not very clever way of paying £5m :D

Not for me to say but I think you've misjudged Gwyn. I know where he's coming from. Have you heard of 'tongue in cheek'?

Gwyn you really must stop this scaremongering. There is no evidence to suggest that any part of your post is correct and it is therefore pure speculation at this stage. I know that you were in the camp that wanted the investment at any cost but some of us were not in that camp and the fans have made their choice so get over it. We have now made our bed and must await the consequences so it is pointless trying to second guess the way it will turn out. All this "end is nigh" nonsense is not helping.
