I'm afraid that if it's red shirts at home either this season or next I'll be packing it in. I support Cardiff City,the bluebirds,a team that play in blue at home.Happy enough to see one of the blue/red fusion kits but for crying out loud imagine going to Wembley and seeing City fans with loads of red flags,it's just nuts.It doesn't make any sense.

I'm grateful to the Malaysians for keeping the club afloat for the past few years but I honestly hope they can find other investors who understand a bit about football identity and culture in the UK because tbh they have not got a clue.

So if ANNIS doesn't mention it - it means all the bad feelings and negativity are left behind! ??? it is still being discussed in the media, via social networks, on MANY football forums and you have the audacity to complain that he is bringing all the negativity back? fecking ell, remind me to leave my opinion in the toilet next time I log on to this site!

Anyway, in response to this thread, I'd find it very difficult to support Cardiff City FC if it ever lost it's TRUE identity in name, and badge - Bluebird & Cardiff is all I'll ever support. Stick your dragons up where the bubbles went!

I can understand (even if I don't agree) your anger. But remember the old badge, it changed back eventually. Just because we are red now, doesn't mean we always will be.

i know what you are saying Alfie but when we go to away games we cheer on CCFC regardless of the shirt colour. I dislike red home shirts and wont buy my kids them but tbh i was more annoyed with white away kit last season.

It's not just the footie either.
It's about the people, the day out, and the habit of many years too.
Can you imagine what it's going to be like at the first game?

They are waiting for the marque signing before they announce plans.............

I can see a lot of people object to colour/badge change...which is understandable.

One thing that im sure will happen is WHEN we get to the premier league.

All these people who are saying they will not SUPPORT the club because of these changes will be back.

So when this happens will that then make them the plastic fans as they only came back coz were in the premier league


i say changes will happen lets see where it takes us.......I for one is looking forward to the ride

Gareth, there is no way that it will just be left at red shirts though. The Malaysians have already showed scant regard for our identity and because so many fans have simply rolled over and accepted it, inevitably we will have a red stadium and maybe even a name change further down the line. As welcome as their cash has been over the past few years , I really hope that they are able to find another buyer asap. Take it from me once we are playing in red,in a red stadium,with a dragon badge we ain't ever going to get our identity back again.

You started watching Cardiff City because of who they were. They happened to wear blue. You didn't decide one day to support a team in blue and then chose Cardiff city as they matched the requirement. The affinity with blue grew over time and will do again with any colour. It's all about time and being open to change and move with the times. Football has long been a business and in business if you stand still and refuse to change you get left behind and die. I'm all for blue but not at any cost.
