Get J-Rod, keep Turner. Perfect scenario for me. Do we live in a perfect world. No. Are we likely to get J-Rod? Not if a prem outfit comes in. Are we likely to keep Turner? Not if a prem outfit comes in.

7- 8 million a bit unlikely for Turner but we can ask West Ham for 4 million or no deal and see What they say

There arent a lot of 6"4" quality defenders on offer so there maty be other clubs interested.

if we get 3 and sign Rodrigueaz for 5 id be happy

AS long as we keep whitts

Turner has seen good and I'd say along the lines of Johnson.
5m and yes.

He may not be perfect but slow is certainly not something you can throw at him

Turner has been fantastic for us this season gone by, hopefully by seeing us make a club record bid for Jay Rodriguez he will see the club's ambition is to truly have a go at winning the league next season with such high calibre signings. I certainly wouldn't want Ben to leave and if we are going to try and sell Gerrard and Keinan then I hope we can add Luke Chambers on a bosman from Forest too. But the proposed bid by the club for Rodriguez has got me buzzing, love for us to get him :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: oh and how anyone can be negative about this truly amazes me

My problem with turner, is when he kicks a ball away, he doesn't look to see where he kicks it so meaning it could end up anywhere normally in our bloody box

4million and would let go :ayatollah:

Just kidding the fans with the bid for Rodriguez, just like the Sordell affair. They know a big club is going to come, then they can turn around and say "We tried". Why can't they keep targets quiet?

There has been talk, on this message board in particular, about those fans who purchased season tickets to attain a ticket for Wembley and then not actually paying any money towards the season ticket, the club has started the process of taking action against these fans, firstly letters are being sent out to those fans to remind them of the fact they applied fr season tickets and will ask them to pay their money, if the club do not get satisfactory responses from those people then I understand the club will 'blacklist' these fans and they will certainly miss out on any future big games where they may try and get tickets using their name and address.

I wrote a couple of weeks ago that if West Ham got promoted then they would make a bid for Ben Turner, I was told again today that West Ham will definitely make an approach for Turner and a multi million pound bid will be tabled to test City's resolve on a player who only cost £750k less than a year ago.

We must remember that Turner was one of Malkys big signings and has been a success. Malky will fight tooth and nail to keep him.

If we are really puting in a bid exceeding 5.5m then we must have some serious intent this season which is great but is he worth it does it mean we will be selling Whitts or Turner to part finance the deal or are we 'putting all our eggs in one basket' oh and are we turning red :D

Questions, questions :?: :?: :?: :?:

One thing's for sure there's never a dull moment supporting City :ayatollah:

Personally I would rather see them spend £5m on Jordan Rhodes (if he's not already signed elsewhere) and spend another £250,000 on someone like Lewis Grabban (Rotherham).

There's a lot of high profile players going to be signing for other clubs this Summer, but if we're serious about promotion, then you have to set your sights accordingly!

Jordan Rhodes, like Rodriguez are going to be high on a lot of club's shopping lists, but as the saying goes, "If you don't shoot, you can't score!" :ayatollah:

Exactly. The squad has a good base. What Malky has to do now is spend a couple of million pounds (if money is available, of course) on players of the calibre of Rodriguez/Rhodes.

Agents  are the biggest single thing that is wrong with modern football. Clubs should refuse to do business with them, they make vast sums of money for doing feck all.

I hope Turner stays he's such a good player and fills in the back with Hudson brilliantly!

I have to agree, Turner is quicker than most on our team and has done a fantastic job, His leggy stride is deceiving and that outstretched leg has saved us on so many occasions.
I genuinely think he has been our best buy and hardly remember him putting a foot wrong 2011 - 2012.
Definate premireship quality and it's decisions like these that will ultimately show what we are made of as a club.
I'd like to think Ben Turner would show some loyalty and want to spend another season with us after the faith shown in him when we brought him here after recent injury problems meant that not many were willing to take the risk.
To say "he owes us a season" would be too strong but i'd like to think that loyalty works both ways.
