Oh wow goals. Kaka has never outscored Lampard in a season. Does that make Lampard better? No. Goals are not the sign of a good midfielder neccessarily. None of those players you listed are worse than Sigurddsson. And naming him as Gylfi? Exposed. He is good, but overrated and the swans wanking over him are embarrassing. Won't have anywhere near the impact next season, he showed that in his last few games
what a terrible reply. Lampard just won the Champions league where as Kaka doesnt play ever. Gylfi was instrumental in nearly every game for them, you are clutching at straws. There is nothing to say he wont continue playing well and everyhting to suggest he will yet you jump to conclusions for the second time in 2 threads.
Give it a rest mun.
How the f**k am I clutching at straws? I have made a valid point and you cant accept it so you mock it, making yourself look like a mong.
pathetic
I am taking heed from past patterns and saying he wont have the same impact. What a clown you are. Christ.
And your response on the Lampard point suggests you do not understand football really.

Already answered my friend. It means they wont be after Rodriguez now. They aint gona be signing two £7 million + players are they.
With all the Sky money they get in the Prem for going up and staying up then why do you think they wouldnt sign two £7 million+ players

Oh my god.
I am saying he will not have as great an impact next season as that is what happens to pretty much every player unless they are of the highest caliblre ( which as much as they would have you believe he is, he isnt ) and that Swansea would have been better equipped spending the money elsewhere. Do you get this?

Won't happen, same with Ba, Cisse and any other average player who was unknown. Only the true quality players like Aguero will keep making an impact.
Swansea have been mugged and he made the wrong move, could have gone to Liverpool, more money, higher league finish, cup runs and Europe. Fool.

I am judging it based on well known patterns regarding effectiveness, which you seem happy to ignore, and from the way he seemed to tail off at the end from what I saw after his impressive start. if he is a success this season, I will happily admit I was wrong. A 5 month spell isn't really a long term example of success.

And the majority follow the same pattern. Look, I'm not saying he'll be crap, but most players who come from abroad are extremely good for a few months, then tail off and become good , not crap , but not at the high heights they initially were.

Maybe , maybe not. I never said he'll be crap actually. I think he will level out into a decent player, but not one worth 7.2M and don't expect him to be as good as he was initially.

I see those players as having declined during their spell in england. You see them as stagnating generally. I cant convince you differently on that, and neither can you sway me. Just remember what I said. Don't expect to do better for you next season.

Not stagnating, the majority sugnifficantly improving. Ba was ok for West Ham and then incredible for Newcastle... Forlan was terrible when he first went to Utd and then started scoring cnsistantly after a while.. Berbatov has scored and played well whenever he has been given the chance likewise with Hernandez. Its not opinion - thats fact.
The rest of your examples arent examples at all. When was Veron ever good for Utd? When was Shevchenko ever good for Chelsea? let alone good for a period of months.
Its clear the vast majority of foreigners that have a good 6 month start to their career either carry on that form or improve. Not many decline. Hleb is the only one and he was hardly excellent when he first came, he was decent and turned average.

Your list was players coming to play in this country for the first time and their resulting apparent decline/stagnation .
He doesn't fall into that category as he's already played well enough in this country to get a big money move to Germany.

You are stating opinion as fact now. Don't.
ba has looked dodgy in front of goal every since he came back from the ACON, needs to be the main man or he is nowhere near as good
Forlan was the reverse I'll admit
Sheva and Veron both had good spells but weren't perfectly suiited to the english game, veron was uncomfortable but showed his playmaker promise in spells and Sheva scored a few key goals, most importantly his spurs goal
Berbatov - is a statpadder , he scored half his goals in 10-11 against 3 clubs FFS, and Hernandez had united fans raving last year, its not happening this year. fergie hasnt played them together this year and he knows far more about them than anyone here
