That flag was flown during the battle of trafalgar, the Spanish Armada, the boer war and both world wars. The Union Jack flies side by side with the Welsh flag in Afghanistan wherever the Welsh guards go (If you fancy a f*cking moan then moan about the plans to get rid of the Welsh guards). All those events had significant Welsh participation.

Stop this nationalist rhetoric and bile and be proud of what this country has done, the Union Jack represent everything thats good about Britain, the Welsh dragon represents the Welsh people, Get a grip and moan about something meaningful you precious little soul.

ITs the Welsh people that I care about, Im proud to be Welsh, the british goverment turn there back on Wales while Liverpool flooded a Valley in Wales where farmers had been living for years and years , farms past down from father to son, they even dug up graves of the dead. They said at the time is was for drinking water for the people of Liverpool , years later it come out that it was for industry there , and the water they had over they pump back to Wales and charge us for it . DONT FLY THAT BUTCHERS APPRON FLAG TO ME ! AND TELL ME ITS MY FLAG , MY COUNTRY IS NOT ON IT ,AND I DONT WANT MY COUNTRYS FLAG ON IT !

WE also have a grve yard full of children in Aberfan , and the goverment of the day didnt even bring anyone to task over it . and the so called queen didnt even come there for over a week after.

Half were fluent half were learning like me, I learnt in a non pressured enviroment. Forcing the youth of today to learn it will only turn them off.

Any foreign bunting around where I live and I may have to pull it down! I have no affiliation for the union jack at all as it represents nothing whatsoever about Wales and it's people.

Actually the Elan Valley was a Welsh language community, just like Tryweryn, just like the farmers of Epynt who were forced to give their lands to the crown. Aberfan, Tonypandy, Merthyr, Newport I could go on the list is endless all results of the exploitation of our country. Your quite right in a way that many people 'don't give a shit about the language' just like many people don't care about the jack flying in Wales. this really just shows how good a job they've done in breeding colonial mindset in our people. Fact Many part of Wales receive Objective 1 money because were poorer that the rest of Europe (yes Ireland, Poland and Eastern Europe included
Fact:This money should be match funded by the London government as is done in all other countries. England refuses to match fund this money. That why after 15 year we're still one of the poorest countries in Europe.

Wake up and look at the facts. Have you been to the South of england or the home counties recently and compared the standard of living? Wales has been short changed.

We are British first, welsh second. Wales has been a principality since around 13th century and the first union jack was around he early 1600s. We would sink without trace to an even poorer country if we went it alone!

Thats briliant , My son and daughter goes to Welsh School and there doing great. I never had the chance to learn Welsh in school, as I could only have German or French, so every Tuesday I would stand outside my class room and later had the stick twice cos I refused to learn German or French till they would teach me Welsh.

Thanks, Welsh schools are great for promoting the language and I honestly believe there should be far more than there is at present. Exactly, there are definitely people who want to learn the language and there always has been
