Bellamy 100% , we know he loves the club and that must make for a 100% performance off him every game he plays. :ayatollah:

well its obvious that everyone is going to say Bellamy, and i have to agree, hes played a hell of alot more football than owen , played more consistantly and generally has a good relationship with the club.

however i would like to stick up for owen , yes he hasnt played much football in the last few years, and yes he does get injured , but at the end of the day look at his record. whilst he hasnt been hitting the net 20 times a season no matter where he has played he has scored a good amount of goals for the amount of time he has had on the feild, 17 goals in 52 games , of which many were from the bench in the premiership isnt tht bad of a ratio. And in regards to his injury problems , if your playing once in the blue moon then your bodys not going to be used to the intensity of an actual game, when u play more regularly its less of a shock to your system. and no matter what you say you can train as hard as you like but actully playing in a game is a hell of alot harder and alot diffrent than training, Also whilst he has only played 50 odd games in the last few years ,are some of you that thick to think that its all due to injury. look at the players hes been up against. im sure if miller was in that situation he wouldnt be getting 30 games a season would he. And to say all hes intrested in is hourse racing, what a joke. he has oviously been trying to get into the team but its simple he cannot get into man utds team , what do u expect him to do just give up every other hobby and aspect of his life untill he does. wayne rooney owns hourses etc and does a simular thing to owen but u rarely hear people say the same about him just cos he gets in the team.

In conclusion , i would pick bellamy, but i have to say that i feel if owen would want to step down and take a considerable wage cut then he could do a job here, u might not get 50 games a season out of him but at the end of the day i dont want any of our players playing 50 games a season . u all complained about how dave jones kept playing the same players so why would you want players to play so many games, good squad rotation is what makes a team a team. if we could use him as we did bellamy and get him to play 30 games a season i recon he would get us a good return.

If fit Owen, won't upset the dressing room model pro.
But and a big but at that he would have to be really up for it.

thats what im not sure of , he is a model pro and has vast experience , part of me thinks he would be really motivated to play football again and show people what he can do after all would you want to be remembered as a guy who was good once then did nothing in football since liverpool or a guy who works hard and becomes a key part in a team and potentially a icon. but i really am unsure if he would really move to the championship, i recon he will end up at some lower premiership club.

and in regards as him being after one last big pay day , are u thick, he could go to china or some stupid league in the middle east and get paid a hell of alot more than he would here. and if you look at kenny miller hes 32 on 25 k a week. is he on a big last pay day?

I would take owen! 18 starts for man Utd and 17 goals! Still a good player!

exactly and didnt he score a hatrick or summing earlier in the season against leeds in the carlin cup, with united playing mostly reserves, kinda proves at this level he can do the job. i was also thinking aswell i think we need someone that knows how to effect a game. i find if its not going our way we seem so lost and no one really seems like they want to make anything happen. ive watched him play a few times this season and to be fair he always trys and he always seems to play in a positive way and trys to actually make something happen rarther than just playing it safe untill a perfect situation presents itself. we need players who know how to win and know how to grind out results.

do u recon he would take such a pay cut tho? aint he on like at least 60 at man u , i know hes been released but surely he would be expecting around 30 k atleast ,
