At last night's meeting it was also said that Vincent Tan was putting in additional money to finish off the required amount for the Fred Keenor statue.

The way it was said last night appeared to me that this was not a recent promise (as in the last few days or so).

I know that the amount of money is insignificant to the wealth of Vincent Tan but it is another measure of his contribution to City and our history.

Thank you Vincent Tan. A very much appreciated gesture which again goes to show that you have the best interests of the Cardiff fan base at heart as well as the Malaysian one! Horrible few days for all parties but I truly believe now that this is a summer we won't forget. Onwards and upwards!

This is a man who is putting his money into the club, not taking it out like others in the past, he is a top guy and we would be fools to let him go.

Several months ago, at a time of great frustration regarding the slow progress of fundraising for the statue appeal, many people were asking why the Malaysians don't fund the remaining amount needed for the statues completion.

Then, those staunch defenders of the clubs owners said that it the funding of the statue should be something the only comes from the fundraising efforts of the supporters, along with organisations such as the Trust, etc.

I fail to see what has changed? Why is it okay for the owners to fund it now, at a very precarious time in fan relations where simple little gestures could curry favour amongst undecided fans.
