Well, that badge had the audacity to feature a bluebird, st.davids cross, and our name. It retained much of our culture in it, do you not agree? Hardly the same as just having a dragon and a red shirt, wth some throwaway latin motto under it

I agree the changes were not as radical but then considering the badge is a relatively recent introduction I'm not sure it's that important at all. I just think there are bigger issues at stake than a colour and a motto. Don't get me wrong in a perfect world I'd take the cash and leave as is, but given the choice then there can be only one outcome if we are to flourish. Can I ask what compromise you would be prepared to make?

Blue homeshirt, bluebird crest with dragon design on shirt - similar to the ones fans had made on facebook today. Also, a token gesture such as more understanding towards fans concerns regarding the ''matchday experience''.

Like the football world in general, we have to accept change and evolve!
Our history is history it can not ever be removed or replaced?
Maybe if we don't take up these opportunities, then there may never be a history for our children's children etc etc.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with any branding but I personally want whats best for the future of Cardiff city FC, not to dwell on the past.

If this radical new idea is the be all and end all of modern football success, then why have only a few clubs, if any, tried it recently - apart from out and out franchises such as the red bull teams.

Our history makes this club what it is, and shitting on that instantly removes right to claim it as such. MK Dons are not known as they 1988 FA cup winners. Our situation, while not as extreme, nonethless compromises our tradition.

It will be an absolute abomination to attempt to claim the history of Cardiff City 1908-2012 as that of the current club, having been corrupted in such a way purely to gain filthy lucre and to satiate a few guilty souls consciences who are afraid of being labelled racist for being against the plans.

Nonsense. How does changing a shirt to red remove the right to claim our history? And to try and make out that those who are pro-change are only so because of the fear of being labelled a racist is an insult to those who dare to voice an opinion that demonstrates realism and bravery. Reading your post and others like it makes me realise that Cardiff City will never rise to the heights I've always dreamed about. A sad day.

Itsnot as simple as 'changing a shirt to red'..its the taking away of the bluebird..its the "no comment" answer they gave when asked if they could guarantee that the name Cardiff City would survive beyond the following season...and its the way they handled the whole sorry affair. If you accept, what is tantamount, to the erasing of our identity then you're making a statement that you're prepaired to follow a different club!

OK I take your points but still don't share your concerns. Why worry so much about the past when it's now and tomorrow that really count? By clinging on to history we could end up there permanently.

Not much change the then! I respect your oppinion though even though I fear for CCFC now. History may be all you have to look forward to. If it all works out this summer I'll gladly eat my words

As long as the bluebird stays, then so should the blue shirt in my opinion. Bluebirds playing at home in red would be a nonsense.

All the statement by TG did was tell us officially what we all already knew was planned.

I didn't like the thought of it on Tuesday, and I certainly will not warm in any way to the idea just because a minority of people of the same opinion took it upon themselves to use the Malaysians race as a weapon against them.

I have done nothing wrong by valuing history, tradition, culture, whatever it is you wish to call it - and I'd strongly remind others against the change that they have done nothing wrong either.

I still think it is a criminal abuse and degradation of 104 years of irreplaceable heritage, and the fact that my club will be the one that whores itself, of all the clubs in the English pyramid, will stay with me to my grave.

I assume you vote labour, are a pretend socialist and 20,000 years ago would have smashed the Wheel with your little stone axe.

How is that relevant? And no, I don't vote Labour, as I have previously told you when you asked the same of me before when you disagreed with something I said.

Fine, got that one wrong then, happens from time to time. Ignore the second point that was just a throw away comment the third; a comment from your goodself perhaps?

What about The Black Cats (Sunderland) playing at home in red and white?

I don't know enough about Sunderlands history, but I am sure they have a proper reason for that
