Likewise.... I only went sporadically last season as the new ground killed football for me too.... Watching the City was always about the passion and camaraderie for me, everything the new ground seeks to stamp out with its officious policing of the crowd, and this loss of historical identity will be the last straw for me. If we do not, at the very least keep the Bluebird, then I will never again set foot inside the stadium, and I certainly would not waste another penny on any Cardiff City merchandise.....

Now that would look good, just like the Hartlepool fans at Charlton.

that's awesome rick and the sort of thing we need to do on a much bigger scale, cause we also need to show the lads we still support them by turning out in our masses in a sea of blue. :ayatollah:

It's amazing how many people won't go and have been regulars for 30 years.
I can't ever remember struggling with 20k crowds in the dungeon.
I'll be there as I have for the last 40 yrs. :ayatollah:

Re: WHO WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THE STADIUM

I can take a badge change if I really have to, but if we play in red at home then I'm afraid that after 37 years supporting this wonderful club, that will be me finished.

A badge change is more drastic than a kit change, yet people won't go if the kit changes?

Ugh.

Not many people have any morals.
Whether I'll stay away, I'm not sure, but I'll never wear red and it will never be the same again.
I won't be making an effort to go to home games either unless there's a protest.

I will most likely go at the start of the season and take my seat. I will see how I feel then.

The way I feel at the moment is that it is not the same. Even if we start with a squad like Rodriguez, Bellamy and one or two other big names it wont make me change how I feel untilI have seen the first game.

As much as I think about it I also end up looking at Wimbledon come Milton Keynes. Why is it I can see a club being started in an upcoming prosperous area with the word Bluebirds in it?

Look Guys - I was gutted when the news leaked out.
it was like they were tap dancing on my heart.
So many memories about CCFC - its my team and no one can ever replace that.

I am and will always be a Bluebird.

We were then told that - to not change was detrimental to the health of my club and very likely we could do a Pompey, Rangers or Darlington - it got a lot of us to search oursleves. Blue in the dungeons with 3000 watching quality the likes of Chrissy Pike and steve lynex waiting for a glamour draw in the first round carling cup or third round of FA Cup if we were lucky, or biting our lip with a clour change and reluctantly going along with it.

I then thought of our glorious FA Cup final when we played in black - we had a different kit and badge, never heared a complaint. Werent we all Bluebirds that day??
I thought about our red away top and the jacks using red away in the prem.
I got to thinking about the hard years and the dream of getting to the top - never in my lifetime I though, to love Cardiff city is to be cursed I thought.
Then I got thinking about my memories of City - the main ones are about the crack - the fans ive met, the lads from different places around wales I've met - the lifelong friends I got etc, the football was incidental. When we were shit at football and the crap on the pitch, we were good for fighting and crap off the pitch.
But those days have gone - and im still here.

Football is eating itself with the americanisation and money needed to support the professional game.

the CCS is shite bowl with no soul- i buy a ST and miss 10 games - i thought that i'd never go again but bought another when we signed Malky.

I dont like the changes, I'd love it all to be a £1 a pint, no cameras, less immigration, better jobs, good TV and respect for people etc. But its changed and I cant stop it. I can only ride it as I pass through and keep my values.

Why should I forfiet my club for what seems bottom line to be a bit of re-decoration? The truth hurts me that the re-dec may not be my taste but the club I go to is still in business.

Ive just been up Treorchy to watch the olympic torch, spotted guys i aint seen in a while. We soon gathered about 15, each one coming in and opening up their input with the 'red' issue.
Best answer I heared from a well known city fan Lad.

"i'm not worried, I've never worn colours anyway"!!!

stay as one and don't run :ayatollah:

many city fans i know hated the black kit and change of badge under sam, he tried to rebrand the club and we went back to the bluebird shield

these guy have got to show us the colour of their money and get to the prem before rebanding us
im sure many would hold their hands up and admit they were wrong about them...me included

i think this is one big smoke screen the colour change was leaked for a reason and time will tell what that is
