Last time I checked they were still treading water around low-mid table with other world football heavyweights Norwich, Stoke and Wigan. They aren't playing in any sort of overseas competition. They havent even played in a major cup final, let alone won a trophy.
Wheras a small, humble club just down the road boast an international group of owners and sponsorship, regular media coverage in another continent, played in 2 (count them) major domestic trophy finals in RECENT years which were watched by MILLIONS across the PLANET.
Now, I don't consider CCFC a superpower in world football, but if Swansea are global, we must be in another f*cking universe.

I think many underestimate, or ignore, the impact they have made on the Premier League this year too and the shockwaves are being felt all across Europe with people tlking about the debut club playing in a different way and outplaying a lot of major clubs.
We have got to some cup finals screened across the world too but we have lost in every one of them and can count them on one hand. They fact is that every one of our games is watched by 22,000 max where as theirs are probably watched by 100,000 +.
Theo Jansson, the Ajax midfielder, who just won Eredevidie player of the year said this last week in an interview for a dutch football magazine....
Ajax midfielder Theo Janssen does not know how long he will play for the Amsterdam club. The thirty-year midfielder has a contract until mid 2013, with an option for another season. A foreign adventure he also does not matter.
"I do not know if I'll stay. It is impossible to predict. I personally have no control," said the Arnhem at De Gelderlander. The midfield for next season is already quite busy including Vurnon Anita, Siem de Jong, Christian Eriksen and purchase Lasse Schöne.
He would like to work in England, at a club like Swansea City. "A football team that plays in my heart. A nice club. I am open to a beautiful foreign club," said Janssen
They are a global brand, like it or not. And we are not, but have the chance to be should we go up and make a similar impact.

I wish City fans would think before they posted, if you have a go at them then you must be accurate otherwise we look bitter.
They were only in adinistration once. The amount they owed was about 70 times less than what we do now, and the amount they got out of paying was about 30 times less than what we are trying to get away without paying with reference to Langston.

Anyway, i also referred to Norwixh and Wigan as a heavyweight of world football. Its called tongue in cheek.

Mistakes were made at our club but we are facing up to them and paying wahat is owed. They just ran away, laughed it off and started again with local council money and property.
Remember they have no assets. No stadium. What are their players worth? probably no more than ours (Mason, Turner, Gunnarsson taking into account)? Realistically they only have Allen, maybe Taylor.

Makes no difference who the debt is owed to. I think it was 900k they owed in total and paid 90k back leaving a surplus of 810k.
As for us paying our debts, our debts have increased from £40 million to around £70 million (and growing) in 3 short years.
Their players are incredibly more valuable than ours. Vorm is being touted for £10 million already, Williams is probably worth in excess of £6 mill, Allen, Dyer, Sinclair and Taylor likewise.
Assets tied up in a stadium is worthless, its only usefull if you want to borrow against it - which as we know is not a good idea.
