The council brought the car park (site of CCS and Retail Park) off the club in the late 80s for a paltry 50 grand which was way below market value even in late 80s. The council have done very nicely out of the deal.

"Understanding", lol.
We pay the council *rent* for the land CSC is built upon. That's *rent*. We own the stadium. Council also benefit from the retail park built upon the rest of the land, which was lying dormant until the stadium / retail park plans emerged.
Your mob, on the other hand, don't own the land or stadium. Stadium managed by Stadco, of which SCFC are a part, who have continually failed to pay the council a bean due to Stadco never having made a profit.
Now, since you're bragging about getting full home attendances, needing to increase capacity, enquiring minds would want to know precisely why Stadco aren't turning any semblance of profit - and indeed, are SCFC using it as a vehicle to deliberately stiff your council.
But, still, there's an "understanding".

For one of the very few times in your clubs close to 100 years of existence. It's quite touching you can have the odd moment like this as it makes the other 80+ years so much more enjoyable.

Bigger picture is 80% of the time both clubs have been running, we've been above you.
We've been to more finals.
We've been at the higher level more times and longer.
We've played in Europe more often.
We've won more things than you.
We've higher attendances at a lower level than you.
At a comparable level, we had higher attendances than you.
Whilst I admit you're ahead of us in terms of going into admin, the bigger picture is simply we've been dominant over both clubs histories.
Hence, it's quite charming that the far smaller club of the two can have it's little moment in the sun to make themselves feel good.

HA,HA,Waddle,by your own words you show yourself to be a plastic to your club.Apart fron this season and a couple of seasons in the eighties when you were in the old first division your club,by definition, has always been about lower league football so where were you then?Probably supporting another prem team.![]()

So, if we follow that logic through ;
If (and just for the moment accept this as a possibility) you were to go down in the next few years and spend a few years in the lower leagues yourself, you would then have no interest in your own team, as you now only want to see a better class of football.
Is that what you're actually saying, or have I misunderstood something?

we have been playing good football for a few years now even before we got into the prem , and i'm confident that if/when we go down we'll still play good football irrespective of what division we're in .
from what i've read on here you don't really seem to enjoy the actual football so much more that your team can battle for a result

I'm just trying to clarify if you're a genuine Swansea fan or a plastic.
I would support CCFC if we were down in the Conference playing terrible football rather than any other team. Knowing where we've come from, I would never be patronising towards others, as such things can come back and bite you in a painful place.
You may take a similar view with SCFC (I have friends who have supported them through the worst days, and they tell me that good football definitely wasn't being played through some of those days).
If so, I'm just surprised with your initial comments about not being interested in the lower leagues, given the amount of football you must have seen in those very leagues (although in fairness the original post on this thread was provocative and as you have rightly pointed out, all we've done so far is got in with a chance of emulating your success last year).
So, just to clear it up, could you answer 2 simple questions :
1. Would you rekindle an interest in the lower leagues if your team were in them? (I think your answer to this is yes, hence what you're really saying is you're not interested in them as long as you remain in the Premiership).
2. Would you remain committed to SCFC irrepsective of the style of football you played (please don't reiterate you think you'll always play stylish football, as that's not a certainity, although I accept its a probability in the near future).
If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then I accept you are a genuine fan - but be careful about disparaging the lower leages, as your team have only ever had 3 seasons (4 next season) in your history when you haven't played in the 'lower leagues' - don't discredit your own history so easily, I would suggest.

Yes, fair enough then, I accept you're not a plastic, but I still think you should be a little more humble about the leagues your team have spent the vast majority of your history playing in.
All the best for next year - I just hope we can join you in probably the best league in the world, and grace it as admirably as you have this year.
