He has been my avatar for years because his team and passion gave me my best ever time supporting Cardiff.

tragic news, has changed the mood of my evening, thoughts are with his family and anyone else close.

Eddie may will always be part of what we stood for
back in the days when cardiff we're a real club with real supporters who came through thick and thin, (even though it was alot less fans)
it really stands for the true values of our football club, not the false plastic tempory and financially threatening ways of today

I'm so emotional right now, Eddie was one of my heroes and I will never forget the joy he brought to our football club. It was a great time to support City when Eddie guided us to promotion and I will always remember the joy of chanting "Eddie May's barmy army!" Very tearful at the moment. RIP Eddie, you was a great man and will forever be a legend at Cardiff City FC. RIP.

My heart sunk when I just read this.

RIP Eddie. I have fantastic memories following City around 92 - 93 etc. That game against Man City. The game up at S****horpe I will never forget.

I used to take my son, who was a 7 year old Junior Bluebird to home games.

My mates used to shout to him 'What's his name?' We had lots of funny looks on the train going home when he used to shout back 'Eddie May'

Im not a big fan of minutes silence for any old tom dick or harry connected with a football
club but I will be cancelling my meeting in London to attend the Derby game.

He was before my time but I've heard so many good stories about him that I feel I was there half the time. The Eddie May song often gets chanted on our bus by Bankiebluebird
