Last year was rebuilding and people were saying we didn't have the depth.
Losing deadwood on high wages and brining in player like MM did last summer should give us depth.

We can only judge mm on the players he got in, not those he can't get rid of because of the high wages of previous regime

very good point..

but he would def have to bring in 7 or 8 players if we do lose an equal amount, and im sure he would want them to be quality not just squad worthy. so what i meant to say was that he would have to gel an all new xi again.

I'm not so sure, I think he would bring in 4-5 to go straight in and others capable of first team football.

Parkin won't be going nowhere until his contract expires.....how long did jones sign him for.?

I think the following players will be sold:

Gerrard
Keinan- (Really do feel sorry for him, true professional, always works hard, doesnt have a ego, dont know what hes done to upset malky)
Quinn
Naylor- (Feel sorry for Naylor as well, was left exposed last season due to Bellamy pushing up all the time, but at times poor man management on behalf of DJ didnt help his confidence either. I feel Naylor had some good games this season in the cup and especially in the league against Birmingham. Sadly I can see him being sold.)

Earnie- (Never really a Malky signing from the start)
Taiwo
Parkin

Contracts to be Terminated:
Wildig, Meades and Santiago- Mainly due to fitness or wont make the grade in stepping up to first team.

Old players to be retained:-
McPhail- will be kept on in my opinion, Malky seems to like him, and the experience he brings to the team, and playing in
front of the back 4, and bring other players into play.
Marshall- definitely seem to be his favourite, and having Heaton as a backup, is probably the best two strong keepers city
have had for over a decade. Not just one strong keeper and a weaker counterpart. Expect them to be given new
contracts in my opinion.
Blake- Does seem to be in Malky's plans, but his lifestyle and commitment is questionable....if he sorts his act out, he
probably stay, if not he'll be out.

Hudson and Whitts given new contracts, so cant see them going unless a strong bid comes in.

SuperKev- quite unsure what Malky thinks of him atm, mainly playing because hes got no other options- but I'd like to think
he does bring quality to the team (lets ignore the last few games, since his form has dipped)

If he doesn't play :ayatollah:

I dont think miller will be off :ayatollah:

Millers a journeyman and to be honest I wouldn't blame him if he wanted to go after all the slating he gets on the Internet and elsewhere by Cardiff fans I will say tho I hope he stays and some how would be great if he scored a few winners in important games after his miss vs liverpool i must say he has proven me wrong this season :ayatollah:

Warren for 23k a week do you really think he cares whats written on the net?

He is a good proffesional and I bet he is not happy with his form either.

I get abused for free on here and I dont give a f**k.

Let's be honest, it's going to be another massive overhaul of the squad. McPhail will retire in my opinion to be come part of the coaching staff. It's clear Malky rate's him and the players all respect him

To be released/sold
Parkin - Stop-gap which failed by Jones
Taiwo - Pointless purchase
Gerrard - Slow, cumbersome and always caught out
Naylor - Big wages and aging player
Keinan - No idea what he's done...
Wildig - Neat and tidy player but not made the step up
Earnie - Not a Malky player
Conway - Doesn't seem to rate him after this season
Heaton - Parish to warm the bench on a lower wage

I think that Hudson might be under threat if another centre half becomes available with a bit more pace. Blake might be sold if the right offer comes in but I think he'll retain Quinn for his versatility in defence.
