I have a copy of that game on video. It's quality viewing from start to finish.
They were going to wembley for some Mickey Mouse cup weren't they? They could have made the playoffs if they had won also, our late goal ended all that. Didn't one of the many transits that day give an unsuspecting clarets fan who was a bit gobby a "lift" all the way to Newport? Where he was left without his clothes?
Can't recall if it was true or a joke at the time.....

That story about the lift was doing the rounds back then and I wouldn't be surprised if it was true, knowing who was about in those days!
