I felt for Miller as he was walking off. he did nothing wrong. :ayatollah:

Completely agree with both of you...
I was cringing when the fans were chanting for Earnie to come on... :o I thought the away fans had changed ends!
poor support that was

Why were you cringing, we had to change it and try something different..

Re: Earnie done in 15 mins..

Wed Mar 14, 2012 10:17 am

I just don't agree with chanting for certain players to come on that's why...
Just like I don't like our players being booed by our "fans", we all have different views, is it okay than to start chanting all the different views that we all have, regardless of the affect it has..
We should be chanting and singing to encourage the team, and that last night was out of order

Won't happen, we tried it start of the season and we all called for change because they don't work together

And the loan striker is working now is it?

Time to give Miller / Earnie another go. Or Miller / Mason with Earnie coming off bench with enough time to make an impact.

Mason on the right, Cowie on the left, Lawrence in the centre is clearly not right. Square pegs round holes.

A little unfair on Earnie in my opinion as I think by the time he came on we were well beaten, lacking shape and any form of coordination :

Really?? It's unfair to say our momentum upfront vanished with earnshaw on but it's perfectly fine to slate Miller left right and centre? I've seen it all now. Defend all our players, not just one.

You obviously believe that last night Kenny Miller was man of the match and as thats you opinion fair enough. My opinion to that would be if you were to buy a round of drinks to everyone who agrees with you you'll get change from a tenner. ;)

All I have said here is that Earnie still has the ability to find space inside the box and last night he did that 3 times in 17 minutes on the pitch. That happens to be 3 times more than Kenny Miller did in 73 minutes on the pitch, have I said replace Kenny Miller with Earnie, NO, because he simply cannot play the role Kenny Miller has been asked to play.

Sadly on planet Lway others opinions are not respected but I like others will live with that but I will stick to my opinion that Earnie deserves a place on the bench because of his ability to find space in the box, and from that space and shots on target goals will follow.

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: J :ayatollah:

Kenny was one of our better players last night, wasn't hard, they were all playing like a pub team against Barcelona

I think you've misread me mate, wasn't having a personal dig at you. Was just asking the question of why it's acceptable to slate Miller to hell and back after hitting the post and having the ball roll on the line and then Earnie comes on, missed quite frankly a very speculative effort and everyone applauds. It wasn't right

Your opinion is your opinion. I agree that Earnshaw should be on the bench but only if we haven't got a more flexible attacker on there already in which case he's favoured over Earnshaw (Vuckic).

I respect your opinion about Earnie, I'm just curious as to why Miller gets has ago at for missing yet Earnshaw gets seen as a king for it by many of our supporters

Earnie done in 15 mins.. I thought he was.... He looked knackered by the end of his solo stint.

Joe Mason is causing a lot of the issues, where to play him. I don't think he is a right sided midfield player or a right side forward (like Bellers). He is straight through he middle as a 9 or 10.

I am waiting for MM stroke of genius and playing Kev as a center half.

Time to be realistic, if we reached the playoffs we wouldn't be good enough to beat the two teams, let see how good Kadeem Harris , Kiss and Ralls are.

Still believing, but he is not the messiah.....

1,000,000% agree! Someone talking sense at last

I can't believe what I'm seeing
Earnie comes on as a sub for the first league game since October and one of you say his first shot sums him up, lmfao, and the other one says 1,000,000% agree, what an idiotic statement.
By the way, I like Miller and will not slag him off but hasn't he been shooting even worse than that "first" shot from Earnie. You lot really need to look at the bigger picture. When Earnie came on that was our best chance of scoring, I don't understand why you're slagging him off so much
Miller will come good again at scoring but Malky really needs to start using the squad he has more effectively IMO but hey, I'm not the manager am I.

Funny, because he volleyed it within the 6 yard box forcing a great save, had a beautiful first touch about 20 yards out and done a first time shot from the first touch forcing another save. Want me to keep on listing?

i know earnie and miller wasn't working, you could see it a mile off...but the start of the season has gone...maybe this is what we need, if you dont concede the 1st time then try again

Re: Earnie done in 15 mins..

It didnt work back then, it probably wont work now. The only way Earnshaw will work in our system is if he has someone who can win the ball in the air and offload it too him asap and we sent that fella out on loan

Ill list all the shots with the times by them just because you want confirmation. Upon further thought i may have been out by 1 shot but it was a blocked shoot to my remberance. Lets find out shall we?

2nd minute, Whittingham free kick into the box, Hudson nods down. Miller shot deflected.

6th minute Miller has another shot but whistle blew up for a previous offense, Shot not counted in tally.

13th minute Miller has a speculative shot from 26 yards or so with his weak foot, on target.

28th minute Cowie crossed the ball in to Miller who has a volley saved well from David James

36th minute Whittingham latches onto a punched clearance from David James, Ball flew into row Z

45+3rd minute Mason fires a cross infront of goal, deflected in by McManus

Half Time

47th minute, Miller with a first touch pushing the ball to his right, turning the defender and letting the shot off, David James saves

48th minute, Gunnarson with a long shot to the bottom left hand corner, David James parries the ball wide

49th minute Gunnarson again with a long shot forcing David James to parry the ball over

53rd minute, we conceed. 1-1

76th minute Miller has a shot taken off his toe in the box, scythed down by Fontaine. Penalty not given

81st minute, Whittingham has a shot from outside the box, shot saved

82nd minute Vuckic shot parried forced a corner

86th minute, Mason shot deflected in by Cisse
