Twats.

It's not that, I like seeing Wales do well in any sport. But most rugby players and fans are bellends and a bunch of plastic pathetic spineless cunts, it's a load of bollocks that is supposed to be a sport for gentlemen.

Bull****, there are no more bellends in rugby than there are in football. I've met plenty of bellends when I played rugby and gone to watch rugby, and I've met as many bellends when I've watched football. Granted they're generally a different kind of bellend....... Rugby bellends are the public schoolboy types, they rile me up  and the football bellends are the chavy cowards who think they're hard when they're in a group but are sh1thouses when they're by themselves, making slit throat gestures and using the "C" word in the company of women and kids! But thankfully in both cases, these bellends are the vast minority......most rugby and football fans are sound.

I've come accross people who don't care about rugby all around the world, but I've only ever heard of people who genuinely "hate" rugby when supporting city. And I find it embarassing.

Let's be honest, all these 'proud Welshmen' say that they support Wales in every sport the country competes in. If Wales were playing bowls (for example) would you support them, really? I don't think so, unless you're actually interested in the sport. I'm not interested in rugby, so I couldn't care less about what they achieve.

I can understand why people despise it though. It's not hard  The coverage of it in this country is more often than not excessive to say the least. Did you see the Western Mail today? And the worst thing is (or, at least, what best sums this excessiveness) that there's this female columnist who writes a 2-page column for every game (every Wales international that is) who never, ever usually writes a column. Only does one when there's a rugby game involving Wales on  That just sums it up.

I've not got a problem at all with people who don't care about rugby, it's the people who make a point of saying how much they hate it and want wales to lose, I will never understand this. I see your point about bowls  but if I happened to come accross an international bowls match being played on my local green then I'd support the tubby taffy bowlers every time :D

As for the western mail coverage.....it (and the Wales on sunday) are the only two news papers and media outlets where rugby gets more coverage than the football. Every other paper.....times, guardian, sun, mail etc etc provides 20 page football pull out supplements and 10+ pages of back of the paper coverage, whilst international rugby is lucky to get 1 single column....and regional rugby, well that doesn't exist in the national press! Then BBC 5 live and sky sports news......they're 95% football, and 5% other sport. So it's a nice change when the western mail gives rugby a few pages and BBC Wales run a rugby feature!

Bowls is actually pretty decent though, IMO  Played a bit in my GCSE P.E. course

I'm talking about media coverage of sport in Wales, not Britain or England. I know what you mean though; Wales are lucky to get anything more than a little square in most of the nationals. (I read the Mirror most days, and there was virtually zero coverage of today's game inside. The Western Mail is a bit over the top though, don't you think? BBC Wales are OK, but have you seen Wales Today? When I watch it there's always a huge fuss for rugby and nothing for football. Say on Monday's programme, they'll have a studio guest in and talk about the weekend's game for near on 5 minutes, whilst highlights and multiple interviews are also shown. Unless the Jacks beat Man City, they'll be lucky to get 20 seconds  And as for us, then forget it! Perhaps they'll show our winning goal

All this talk about supporting Wales in tiddly-winks and bowls - all I can say is, so would I support Wales in every other sport - and if you can let me know when the next tiddly-winks championship is, I will actively support my country.

BUT, as far as the egg is concerned, forget it, I will never ever support them - I'd rather die first.

It has something to do with supporting City back in school in the 70's and for just liking football, let alone supporting a team, you were ostracised and bullied in my school without compunction.

Not being the sort of person to take that kind of treatment without fighting back, I took pleasure in taunting them every time Wales lost a game of rugby. When you gave them that kind of tratment back, they didn't like it, as most bullies don't - and I'm not just talking about pupils, I mean teachers as well.

For me its a lifelong hatred, and one that will never change.

For those banging on about tiddly-winks and bowls, please let us know when Wales have their next competetive game in each sport, and can you put an active post on here at the time, so that we can all support our country together then

I agree with you 100 % mate - some people on here don't think we're entitled to our opinions though - I suspect Italy will win today though, unfortunately, but I still think there's a good chance that France could beat them. I'm still laughing thinking about how close they were back in the semi final of the World Cup, only ultimately to fall short

You were completely wrong then. If some rugby fan came on here and said they were and said they were still laughing when we fell at the last hurdle against Blackpool in the play-off final there would be absolute uproar!. You are a tw*t of the highest order :( :(
