how do you know hes not good enough overall? yes he had a bad start to the season but so did miller. we all know he can be decent at this level as he has shown over the past few seasons for forest, he got his chance against WBA who are a decent premiership team and scored and set up another goal, he just needs that other chance to show what he can do :ayatollah:

plain & simple he doesnt fit into the way we play he wudnt be any gd up top on his own cos his touch has always been poor & just nt gd enough

people need to understand that putting earnie in the team wud nt make us much better with the service we are giving our strikers no fucker wud score

cardiff fans r still thinking earnie is the same players he ws wen he ws 1st here sadly that is nt the case, bt i wud av him on the bench to come on the last 20 mins of a game

hopefully sum1 will come in on loan to help out kenny miller who is quality just needs abit of luck & it wudnt be so bad if a few more players chipped in with a few goals 2 help out

The only possible way I can see earnie starting a game is with rudy upfront with him and it's pretty clear he isn't rated by most fans either.

I reckon he will go Vuckic and Earnie wednesday night. then Drop Vuckic into the hole and bring Miller on :D
It wont happen, but it wouldnt be the worst as miller is knackered.

Vuckic and mason maybe, with conway out wide

look at earnies stats this season , i was so excited he came back to us never thought this would happen , its so frustrating, scored against west brom took his chance and thats not good enough, maybe you gotta not score and malky will give you a game.

I had this same argument with one of the guys in the pub last night.

I asked him to name strikers who'd scored a hat-trick at premiership level. He took the bait and proceeded to name a list of class strikers who have scored hat-tricks in the premiership.............it was then a case of 'I rest my Case' when I pointed out how earnie had had played for West Brom in his first premiership term.

I agree that his first touch is poor, and his all-round game is poor at times....................but if you play to his strengths then he can bag the goals. Put this guy onto through balls and he'll get the goals. Lumping it up to him is no good. On the floor, in space, towards goal, job done!

Miller could even be the perfect provider for earnie with some of the class passing of the ball he's been showing.

I'm guessing (do not know) the reason he is not on half of that salary is because we had him on a free so no transfer fees involved. If you could come and score a couple of important goals now then £656,000 for the him would seem like nothing!!

He should at least be given some sort of chance, if he has his chance and blows it then at least we tried something.

I suspect Malky is going all out to get the right striker in though.

Correct, we had him on a free, so gave big wages.

Annis, Seeing Earnie in the Wales game showed exactly why Malky is not playing him (I know he didn't get a lot of time on the pitch) but he got given the tainted armband. And what did he do.... Nothing. He made very little effort to pressurise their back 4, looked well off the pace of the game, and didn't read the game at all well in all honesty. Those are the three traits which made Earnie, Earnie. Now those have gone what's left?

Personally, I think you and other fans should stop holding on to what used to be and look forward, what are the options without Earnie, without Ninian Park, without Atmosphere etc... etc... :ayatollah:

Yes but he is short of match practice, I would have him as a super sub. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

So why did Malky sign him , and it seems Malky is no better than Jones for not playing players he falls out with . Its really seems nothing changed at Cardiff at all . Players on money for fun , for doing nothing , Players running out of steam at the back end of the season and a Manger that has a pout with players.

Maybe now is his time, change things about, however, Earnie is not the player we remember,
the games I saw of him at start of season he was awful, always getting into offside positions, not chaseing back to tackle, not looking around and working as part of the team,I was so glad when we dropped him, hopefully now, after a few months out he will have taken on board what this Cardiff team is all about, working as a team.

I was told it was much the same problem at Derby where KM just had to turn up to get in the team, that season he scored 8 goals at an average of 1 every 322 minutes on the pitch. We are going the same way here.

That season Earnie was pretty much used as a sub and when he did get on he was asked to play wide left.

He absolutely must now be given a run in the team to get his match sharpness up,the goals will follow.

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Whilst using stats can be a useful way to provide context, it helps if you provide the full context.

How many goals did Derby score that season? How many points did Derby get that season? Is it not relevant to point out Derby that season were statistically the worst team EVER in the Prem?

Is Miller in a rut? I'd say so. Is the team in a rut? Definitely. We're not creating a great deal at times.

As for Earnie, it's clear Malky has a vision of the players he wants. Motors, quality, team players.

Earnie and Miller started off the season. Numerous times Earnie went for the spectacular, rather than passing to Miller who had taken up good positions.

Would Earnie do better? I think he's a spent force at this level. If Malky felt he was capable, then he'd be picking him imo. If we released Earnie now, I'd doubt there would be much interest at this level.

MM did not sign him he was signed before MM took over.Miller and him will not play together because they had words at the start of the season a little bird told me somewhere along the lines that earnie said to blake that miller needs lazer beams on his boots to hit the target as he fluffs that many, but it got back to miller somehow  and MM didnt like it and the rest we all know ,bar westbrom where miller wasnt in the squad thats all earnie has had really :ayatollah:

Firstly Earnie was signed around a month after MM took over. That's not to say it wasn't set up well before he joined but I still think MM should have been strong enough to cancel the deal.

The story about Earnie and miller could be true, I've heard they don't get on but they showed in the opening weeks they can't play together as they are to alike.

Re: " I'M AM FIT AND WILL PLAY ANYWHERE "

Whilst I am very happy to have Malky at the helm, I must say that I do feel very uncomfortable about his treatment of Earnie.

If as has been said there is a problem between Kenny and Earnie then why not use it to spur them on to fight for the spot. It's simple isn't it, they don't play well together or like each other, then if Kenny fails to score then Earnie comes on to show him how its done.

As things stand, Kenny knows he will play every single time and I do start to wonder now what promises he was given to come to the club and turn down Rangers last ditch effort to sign him.

I suspect its not so much a Kenny v Earnie personal matter but more down to the fact that having tried them both together at the start of the season and promising Kenny a season long starting position that there was simply no place for Earnie and with such a large wage to pay then he had to go and whats the easiest way to get someone to go........not to play him.

Unfortunately this has left us suffering with a very good but currently misfiring striker and a possibly not as good but very prolific goal getter sat in the stands.

I hope I am wrong with my summation as I don't feel very comfortable with this type of management. I was hoping that the discarding of players for non footballing reasons was a thing of the past when DJ left.
