Is this a wind up?

Watched him Boxing Day against Derby.
Still looked slow and disinterested. Leeds fans wouldnt mind offloading but unless they can land someone on loan they wont.
I would rather sign whoever they would get instead of him to be honest. Or play Earnie.

Can't see where he would play tbh, not unless Malky reverts to a 4-4-2 type formation!

Whilst he may well be good to have as a squad player, he wouldn't get regular game time IMO, which is why he left in the first place!

I'd give him a piggy back all the way down from leeds :old:

McCormack set for sensational Wales return
Friday, March 2, 2012 at 12:00 PM | by Ben McAleer
Cardiff City are hoping to build on their recent Carling Cup success with a bid for former striker Ross McCormack, currently of Leeds United.

The 25-year-old spent a prolific two years with the Bluebirds, netting 30 times in 88 games in all competitions, and has taken that form with him to Elland Road.

Despite the Whites perilous position in the Championship, the Scotland international still has 15 league goals to his name.

Recently appointed Neil Warnock will be keen to keep hold of his star striker, with the former QPR manager hoping his goals can fire the club up the table.

Leeds currently find themselves just four points off the play-off places, but a move back to Cardiff may to too hard to turn down.

Malky Mackay will be looking to McCormack as he looks to turn his side’s attention to promotion, with the Championship outfit coming close to reaching the Premier League via the play-offs, most recently losing in the final to Blackpool in 2010.

Should never have let Ross go in the first place :ayatollah:

Rossco would be quality to have back here but I can't see why Leeds would loan him to us even if we pay a substantial loan feel. There is just no benefit for them to loan him out. I can't believe Warnock wants to let his best players go!

It would be a great signing but I imagine the article is just rubbish! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

30 goals in 88 games isn't great for a striker. Plus he is fat, drinks too much and drinks and drives which kills innocent people. He has ginger pubes too according to this bird I was talking to in the Rose and Crown in Pontypridd. Plus he has been contaminated with Leedsness.

I'd take him back.

Too F-ing right I would , we should never ever have sold him in the 1st place . Not only is he a brilliant forward his passing and vision is a bit like Ronneys imo.

This would be a class singing and just what we need , but I fear this is just a load of rubbish and never going to happen

Similar to Cowie i'd imagine, on the right but drifting. What I liked about Ross, and he had a lot of good qualities, was that he would chase everyone down all game long.

No idea why Jones got rid of him when Craig wasn't going to be able to play every game and we became reliant on loan players like JET when we could have had a loan space saved.

Just thought id do a little comparison of players for you regarding two former strikers (McCormack being one of them) that both had a lot of bad press.

Michael Chopra (Age 28) - Appearances for Cardiff 154, Goals for Cardiff 63
Seasons at Cardiff - 4 Appearances in career 262, Goals in career 100

Ross McCormack (Age 25) - Appearances for Cardiff 89 (with at least 1/3 of these being used as a winger)Goals for Cardiff 30
Seasons at Cardiff 2 full, Appearances in career 231, Goals in career 71
4 apps in 2010-2011 (2 goals in them appearances also)

Which one would you prefer judging on those statistics? Bearing in mind McCormack has 3 years on Chopra

I wouldn't take either of them due to their off the pitch antics. On the pitch they are both good I would say Chops is better. I hope they do well and stop the excess gambling, drinking, eating, crashing etc. Its a game of opinions and it is my opinion that they under achieve and squander their situation for partying.

 Cheers, even our most biased fans dont think we'll be anywhere near the play offs, although yesterdays performance gives us a bit of hope i suppose....

I met McCormack after we played Ipswich earlier in the season, him and Mark Kennedy and a couple of others were going to London for the night, a right misery he was, although we were all wrecked to be fair, wouldnt slag you lot off, try as i might to goad him....Mark K a top bloke though...!!!!
