He was on a rolling 1 year deal, he was entitled to one years salary from the date of his contract termination, CCFC decided to Pay him monthly, orobably hoping he got a new job and either stopped his entitlement or wasnt due it anymore. All depends on his CCFC contract and what termination clauses were in place.

I thought it was one years notice, not termination. in other words, DJ is still employed by the club and would have been until the one years notice was up.

I may be wrong but if I am not then DJ could not work for anyone else without first resigning from CCFC.

Would that not have meant DJ was on "gardening leave" i'm sure the club used "terminated contract" when they released statement. Can't remember exactly the circumstances, either way its only 3 months pay.
