How the hell is DJ to blame for Malky favouring Marshall over Heaton?

Only one can play and if Heaton wants regular football then he will leave if he is out of contract - it is his choice.

Sad to see him go and he will always get a good reception here but there will be a few more changes this summer as Malky builds the squad he wants.

No.

Heaton can sign for European countries including Scottish teams now (6 months before end of contract)

He is only allowed to talk to other clubs and negotiate 1 MONTH before his deal expires, which will be the 30th of May, after the season has finished.

that is what happens when you have 2 good goal keepers,Marshall could argue that he was in good form going into the semi final, in fact, a lot of fans wanted Marshall to play in goal, especially for the second leg.

Don think us as fans should try and pick the team, best to leave it to the manager.

I wonder are the owners going to let players contracts run down again and leave for free again knowing there worth good money like jay, burke ect who could still do a good job for us it will be intresting to see what comes of it as i thought some that left for nothing at the end of last season would be still here if the malaysians wanted to try get to the prem you try keep the good, will it happen again we shall find out sooner or later :ayatollah:

Everyone knows that Dj used to eat the edges off all the pies and that's why they were all smaller than they should be.

For what its worth - in my opinion Heaton should be our number one. The defence looks more comfortable with him between the posts and his distribution is miles better than Marshalls.

Some of the comments on here you would think Heaton is 20 and Marshall 38

Not Heaton being 26 and Marshall 27 which are both pretty young for keepers.

It's an interesting one, the bottom line being that it's great we have the choice between two class keepers.

I was talking about this earlier with a mate who does not follow Cardiff closely. He assumed Heaton was the 1st choice keeper, and was amazed when I told him we'd only been using him this season for the Carling Cup.

After his performance, I wondered about who would now be picked for league games. I think anyone watching the final and then not seeing him turn out for the next game for us would assume he must have somehow picked up an injury.

But as someone who's seen Marshall all season, I don't think it's necessarily wrong to go back to picking Marshall. Last season, I didn't think you could choose between them, but for me, this season Marshall has edged ahead and shown to be one of the best keepers in the league.

But Heaton has now once again proved himself. How to decide? A coinflip? Arm wrestle?

Think they're both great keepers. Why not alternate? :D

Marshall's form has been erratic in recent league games and he has been verbally arguing with the back four. I would bring in Heaton if I was the manager :ayatollah:

Well, it's interesting you say that cos that was one thing I disliked about him in previous seasons - him arguing with defenders. I didn't go to either of the last 2 away games. And following another post about giving Heaton a chance following the recent league performances, have to say, I am definitely now siding with favouring Heaton.
