His team were about to go out of a World Cup quarter final and that self sacrificial act meant his country had a chance to go through - when they then did, he celebrated - if he hadn't celebrated, I'd have had a problem with him.

Those are NOT irrefutable facts. You claim to have read the report but I'm not so sure. The conclusion was that "on the balance of probability" Suarez MAY have treated Evra differently due to the colour of his skin. There was no single piece of irrefutable evidence produced during the entire trial. No clear video evidence. No clear audio. No Man U or Liverpool players coming forward to say they heard the exchange. Even the ref didn't hear the exchange.

In the end it was one man's word over another's and the FA decided to go with Evra's account over Suarez's. Personally I would have much preffered if the case had gone over to the police. Then he would have had a fair trial and in all likelihood all allegations dropped due to lack of any credible evidence. Furthermore he would have been presumed innocent until proven guilty. Unlike what happened in large sections of the media and even some professional bodies.

The FA (and even Evra) said in their statement that they do not believe Suarez is a racist. But that didn't stop them from slapping an 8 match ban on him or the media in order to get some brownie points (am I allowed to use that term these days or will I be condemned a racist?) over FIFA and Blatter. And neither did it stop the media and opposition fans from permanently labelling him as a racist.

I didn't see many posts on here having a go at Gyepes when he did that rugby tackle on the Leicester player in March 2010! In fact, all the posts were complimentary towards him for doing it.
