So calling someone a ''nigger'' is ok is it?
If you have read the full FA report then come back and comment. Unlike what the media would have you believe Suarez only admitted to using the word "negro" (not nigger) once in response to Evra calling him his sister's cu*t. The rest was a case of one man's word vs anothers. Not a single piece of conclusive evidence was produced proving Suarez's guilt in the over 200 page report (no audio, no video, no Man U players admitted hearing Suarez saying anything offensive, the ref didn't hear anything either). Furthermore, even Evra himself along with the FA admitted during the trial that they both do not believe Suarez is a racist. But anyway let's just continue to blindly follow any tripe the media come up with.
Sadly mate media plays a huge part as we all know. Im not going to lie I dont know the ins and outs and I dont really care as its not my club. But the fact he got a strong ban would say there was evidence there.
I honestly believe the FA is at fault on this whole issue and its a lack of insight from them of different cultural behaviours.
The Premier League attracts the best footballers from across the world and they all arrive with their own cultures and not understanding British Culture at all and I doubt they get a lesson in how to behave correctly.
Gus Poyet came to the defence of Suarez very quickly saying this is how we speak this is our culture.
Unfortunately this culture has been deemed to have offended Patrice Evra and his cultural background as he is black.
Unless you can find proof that Suarez is an actual racist the FA has condemned every Uruguayan as racist.
The only thing I can see Suarez having ever been guilty of is cultural ignorance or misunderstanding. The last time i checked that wasnt a criminal act, or something that can be punished.
The FA has been caught out big time by this and has made Suarez a scape goat.
Is Suarez a nice person you can find evidence that he isnt but is he a racist that hasnt been proved and cannot be proved therefore he is innocent.
The FA now need to start a campaign that isnt aimed at the stands but aimed at players and educate them in Cultural Understanding.

In some countries they cut off people's hands if they steal something but if you stole something from me and I came from one of those countries and I cut off your hand no one would try and gloss it over as cultural differences.

but that involves a criminal act
and thankfully in this country cutting peoples hands off doesnt happen
but your missing my point
Gus Poyet said it in Uruguay when addressing someone they describe their prominent features
my fat friend
my black friend
Im not Uruguayan but I have no reason to disbelieve Mr Poyet
So I believe this is the context it was said
Now Patrice Evra a black man who has spent a long time in this country and in his eyes calling him black is offensive
So who is wrong
Is Suarez wrong for speaking as a Uruguayan
Is Evra wrong for taking it out of context
Are both of them wrong for ignoring each others cultures
Or
Is the FA at fault for failing to assist and advice on different cultures. After all they are happy for these foreign players to come here can they expect these players to leave their cultures and customs at passport control when they enter the country.

These questions need to be answered
Im not defending Suarez or backing up Evra
Im asking questions of the FA and their lack of control over potential issues of foreign culture.

Because he wasn't found guilty beyond reasonable doubt which is what is required for a court conviction whereas an FA conviction requires a verdict of on the balance of things.
Also it would take a complaint to the police for them to take part in an investigation and as far as I'm aware no one took it to the police. The FA's evidence wasn't shown on the television and they used plenty more angles that were not available to the public which is why there was no public complaint. I'd guess Evra didn't want to take it to the police either.
As for the FA taking control of things like this, as far as I'm concerned it should be the club's job to make sure their players are aware of local customs. There are hundreds if not thousands of foreign players in professional football in England and Wales and it would be impractical for the FA to work with them all.

well the man isnt a racist then if there wasnt any evidence
the FA are not in a position to go above the law
If Patrice Evra felt that strongly about it why didnt he go to the police
As far as the clubs taking control this is an FA issue they are the umbrella organisation that controls football in England and are responsible for the actions of how players behave on the pitch as they set the rules. The FA need to take a stand instead of making individuals scape goats and remaing blameless the FA need to raise this issue and then it is up to the clubs to implement it.

There was evidence, just not in the public domain. Obviously if there had been a charge brought by the police the FA would have handed over all of the additional camera angles which they used as part of the verdict.

It's their intellectual property. I'm sure you can phone them up and buy all of the extra angles if you really care.
And anyways, what he said was racist. He treated someone differently because of the colour of their skin verbally and then he pinched him to prove a point. Both of those are irrefutable facts about what he did.
If I was to go up to a black co-worker and do that I'd get sacked so quickly.

That's got to be the most ridiculous post ever - he did a professional act to save his team and got the appropriate penalty - he was sent off and a penalty was awarded to the other team.
His team were about to go out of a World Cup quarter final and that self sacrificial act meant his country had a chance to go through - when they then did, he celebrated - if he hadn't celebrated, I'd have had a problem with him.
-------------------------------
I didn't see many posts on here having a go at Gyepes when he did that rugby tackle on the Leicester player in March 2010! In fact, all the posts were complimentary towards him for doing it.
So much hypocrisy and double standards with some.
Suarez is class and is one of the best players in the Premiership - not just my opinion, that's a fact!
He is not a racist either, and even Evra and the FA accept that!

Have you looked at the advert? PC brigade gone mad. Trivialising racism and homophobia as opposed to tackling it. The guy who made those allegations should be embarrased.
Here is the ad by the way (last one). Now tell me whether you consider that racist?
