Out of all four trips to wembley, I had never been as happy as i was heading home last night...!
We gave them a run for their money all the way... granted i was gutted when tony G missed, but i still couldnt stop applauding the lads for their efforts... so so proud to be a bluebird :D

Proud is the word supported City over 40 years now and seen some real lows stuck with them all the way through and have now witnessed 2 great occasions watching MY team in the FA Cup and Carling Cup Finals something i never dreamed i would ever see. :old:

Yesterday was very very special matched Liverpool for over 120 minutes and drew the game 2-2 and stuffed it right up Paul Merson who made the most stupid statement i have ever heard 'it is impossible for Cardiff City to win this game' nothing is impossible and we proved it yesterday :ayatollah:

Although we did't win the cup due to the lottery of penalties we won the hearts and respect of football fans everywhere with the possible exception of one small corner of West Wales :D but we did Wales and the Champoinship proud and our support was absolutely magnificent and i enjoyed this trip more than our other 3 previous visits to Wembley.

I also wonder will any other Championship side ever do what we have done contest the FA Cup and Carling Cup Finals in the space of less than 5 years what an achievement and so so proud to be a Bluebird. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Well said Steve! That was a staggering effort by all concerned, from the staff, management, players to the fans! Never have I been prouder to be a bluebird! The guts and courage those boys showed yesterday was nothing less than heroic. Turner and Hudson were like Gladiators, they made so many vital blocks and were repeatedly throwing their bodies on the line. Whitts completely outclassed Adam, Mason looked a far better bet than Henderson while Cowie and Gunnarson didnt stop running. Such a shame they way it ended but all those who missed the pens have played instrumental parts in us reaching the final, Miller got the winner against Premier League Blackburn, Rudy has scored against Huddersfield and scored his pens against Leicester and Palace while Gerrard has also played a lot in the competition. There were no villains out there yesterday, everyone one of them is heroes.

Huge credit to Malky, i thought we would start with 451 and try to contain them but taking the game to them was a masterstroke. Jones would have never lined up like that against a team like Liverpool and you can guarantee there is no way he would have started a youngster like Mason. Just when I think this time cant surprise me anymore they go and do it again. Epic performance, if they play with the same heart and intensity for the rest of the season we have a great chance of going up! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Hi,

I'm a liverpool fan and was at the game yesterday.

Just registered to say congratulations on your performance yesterday, its always sad when someone has to lose a game like that on penalties. I really felt for your guys, especially Gerrard having missed the last penalty.

A big hello to all the cardiff fans I met yesterday, you do your club proud and I enjoyed the banter. Hopefully we'll see you twice next season - though I hope its not as nail biting as yesterday!

Pete

We may or may not get promotion at the end of this season, and every Cardiff City player was a hero yesterday. However I think our biggest battle is ahead of us and that is to hold on to our two central defenders. I watched the game back last night and when you have legendary defenders of the past such as Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson heaping so much praise on Hudson and Turner, it will I am sure be difficult to hang on to these guys. I am sure many Premier league managers would have been looking on in awe and admiration at our two central defenders yesterday and bids will come in at the end of the season unless of course we can get promotion ourselves.

Steve in my 39 years of supporting City, that was probably my proudest moment,Its years since I have celebrated goals like I did yesterday, to me in my heart we won the cup. We nearly beat one of the greatest teams in football and in a major final at Wembley,we drew on the day and took them all the way, we gave everything. Our team worth about £4mill, there £145 mill. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Its been 36 years for me in March and I have to echo Annis' comment, I have never felt as proud of a City team as I did yesterday. All we need is players who will give everything for the cause (take note mr Jones) and we will be ok. Promotion or not this season has been the best for a long while and lets hope it continues all the way back to Wembley in May (though I don't know if my heart can take another day out up there)

:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
Now that would be amazing and I believe we could go all the way this time. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I complete agree annis, in my heart we won the cup, after the inital disappointment left me about an hour after the game, i feel so happy to be a cardiff fan, anyone who saw me today would of thought we'd won yesterday still bouncing off such a great day, love watching the turner goal over and over :ayatollah:

Ahhh when Mason scored I remember being swamped by about 6 people in 543. Fantastic atmos, we really gave it our all in the stands and the players matched that. They gave it their all, the energy, grit, determination and pride was unbelievable and this is the proudest I have ever been of us. Malky Mackay- Cardiff Legend perhaps? If he keeps this up, defo. :ayatollah:

Where were you to in this block? We were 4th row down the front of the top tier. Half of us ended up passed the aisle into the other side of the row

I was in the 7th row mate. Bloody close then! It looked intense below us right behind the goal, proper sea of blue.
