Debate doesn't really exist here, does it?

The fact is the Rhooster's demo idea is getting plenty of support on the other board, but that doesn't rate a mention.

How many people on here are looking to pick holes in the demo? Aside from mrs Ramsgate, who couldn't care less as long as she gets a shag out of it, I'd say virtually unanimous. People on CCMB want to pick holes - nowhere near as bad as the official site or media wales site, but there's certainly a sizedable proportion on CCMB who couldn't give a s*** because, hey, we're 5th in the table... those protesting would whine if we were only second in the Prem... yadda yadda.

Now you are talking....... :)

That REALLY WOULD get national and regional media coverage - Especially with the story there is to tell (without the Lawyers being able to touch it based on the facts that can be contained that are undisputable). Get Since 62 to write it :ayatollah:

With Echo owners Trinity Mirror having dozens of UK titles including 'Nationals' The Daily Mirror and The Daiy Record as well as Regional titles covering areas such as Yorkshire (Leeds be interested anyone? ), Midlands, North East, North West, Scotland, The South and London, I can't see any Title that would pass on the opportunity to run a story on the Advert and the 'Live the Dream' chairman who has NOT been 3rd time lucky....
http://www.trinitymirror.com/

Best of all, one full page Echo advert will surely get full media coverage (Talksport, Radio Wales, 5Live, Sky Sports, Wales Today....Even Terry Phillips might write an article on it!!) All this leading up to the Demo date, never mind the coverage of the actual Demo itself.........

Think it may be time for an Ebay item to be set up to gather 'donations' to pay for the Ad via Paypal contributions maybe?

I anticipate a certain person shaking in his R8 cockpit already at the mere thought of it!!!!!!!

Evening Peter,

My marketing team are working on it as we speak, have made contact with the publications, currently working on the legalities of content is the lawyer.

to quote myself i said "a few" now if that means all then im in the wrong TLG. My point was it was posted as informative if people want to attend they could if they wanted to stay away they could as well, everyones choice but you have to admit yourself replys like "id rather stay in the pub" and Tosh's comment were not needed in what is a genuine attempt by fans for the better of the club even if they disagree with the method. At the end of the day we all want what is best for the club so are the comments needed?

Re: A CALL OF ARMS

If the fiddling, riddling c**t of a Chairman is still our chairman, I'm on the march. However, it would be good if the march didn't take place because he's left, but I fear the worst and he will possibly wriggle out of things at the EGM. I'm putting my trust in the shareholders to ensure this doesn't happen though and have every faith in them

ONLY Goes in If PR stays on after EGM.

Annis/Steve,
That in itself is news worthy - How's this as a starter for ten before a penny has been spent?

"A Cardiff City Supporters Group disgruntled at the way their club is being run, have booked a full Page newspaper 'expose' and demonstration advert to run later this week. Despite the the cost of placing such an advert, it will run should their controversial Chairman Peter Ridsdale not resign at this Wednesday's EGM being held against a backrop of mounting debts, HMRC winding up orders and where a motion of no confidence by shareholders will be tabled"

Now that is real Demo advertising :ayatollah:

Right, what's Talksport, Sky Sports and The Daily Mirror contact adresses :D :D

Peter

Peter, thanks for your input, contact as many sections as possible to tip off, but first we need the first publication to go out in the press, then it snowballs. Sky sports have already picked up on it and talks are in place for them to come and film the demo just as they did in 2000 live from the Landsdowne pub. 10 years later it looks like we have to do it all again.

Things to consider are this:

1) Mike's board is very much more popular than this one, and it also open for all to read. Therefore, you're bound to get differing opinions.

2) Criticism comes with the territory. If you want to put yourself up as an organiser or leader of sorts, you've got to be broad-shouldered enough to take it.

3) Debate is good for publicity. Your post over there has got 50 replies and over 1,400 views.

ITs time for everybody to get together wheter you dislike others not and fight for the survival of Cardiff City. Get behind the demos.

Daya, it would seem some City fans are intent on keeping a divide.

I posted the demo details on the other board thinking get as many as possible there and bear in mind when i posted it I wasnt asking for debate on it, it was merely informative if they wanted to attend they could, instead what happened a few on there decided to shoot it down with comments like " no thanks id rather be in the pub" and pick holes in the demo, Why these people feel incapable of just accepting a different view is beyond me, if they didnt like the subject of a demo just ignore it rather than make snidey remarks.

Im in full agreement with your message though City fans needs to be united now or the harsh reality is this club is heading towards administration and we see a richer Ridsdale sail off back to Yorkshire unscathed from it all.

Rhooster, you will always face a small neagtive response, if i advertised , you would still have those who want it for 50p and those who say whats the catch, its the nature of the beast.

There are still many fans who don't want an EGM or if there is one they do not want any awkward questions asked....mad I know....

look at this post off the official site...(written by an employee of CCFC... :D IT MUST HAVE BEEN) IT IS ABOUT THE rIDSDALE INTERVIEW ON BBC

Joined the talk this lunchtime about clubs in debt following a debate on Portsmouth, talked about the Cardiff situation.

Confident of tax being paid off. Some has been paid off already which is why they extended our deadline 28 days.

Also confident of external investment (that had been expected over Christmas) will arrive by the Summer.

Criticised the fans (briefly) saying he wouldn't be pressured into "chasing the dream" as he did at Leeds by spending money the club doesn't have and whatever fans say with money being owed elsewhere the club won't put money raised through club finances on the squad. He said the current way of "bargain buys" and selling for "significantly more" is a good way to aid the clubs financial situation as well as help the squad grow - saying the way the team has progressed over the last few years is proof this works both financially improving the club and improving the playing staff on the pitch.

Stated we're not in a dire situation. We haven't borrowed a penny since he took over and have no bank overdraft to pay.

Interesting talking about yo-yo clubs making use of promotion/relegation clauses in contracts that players are happy to agree to. Clubs below (ie us) can't offer that as no recent promotion history, and clubs like Southampton and Leeds can't do it as players don't expect them to struggle, and thats why they've been killed on lack of relegation clauses. He said this tier system exaggerates the parachute payment problem in limiting who can realistically compete every season to be in the Premiership.

Good interview overall. Tried typing up bits as he spoke. He sounded really honest and calm. Happy to talk about his Leeds mistakes, and confident Cardiff are going about things in the right way. Fair play to him, he's sticking by his guns. I said from day 1 I'd give him my last pound and feel confident he'd look after it, and whatever people say I still feel this. I'd rather an honest man sticking to his guns and moving the club forwards, than a shady person we don't know who never shows his face but 'promises' millions. Look at Notts County's 5 year Premiership plan...

Corks,

My marketing team has just called to see if they cant put a small section /link to the trust. Can you let me know.

you've genuinely shocked me by not answering with a question

Anyway on your points:

1. Differing opinions I have no qualms with as Ive said some will agree with the demo some won't, its snide remarks which dont add to any debate which I have a problem with, and as stated wasnt looking for a debate on the merits of the demo, although some debate would be expected.

2. Im not putting myself as any kind of leader, just helping out like many others how have pm'd offering to help, this in my opinion is when all Citys fans need to club together more than ever.

3. Lets hope after Wednesday no "publicity" is required.

How many of those have come on here from posting on the other board ? I think this board has done well out of publicity on there.

Maybe 2000.

Its only a few on there who are cocks. The vast majority are fine. Some are very good posters. The guys who run it, Mike and TVB both tidy blokes. All the posters (except the token jacks, and maybe the nutcase Loyalist who changes his name every few weeks, who always predicts we are going to get stuffed) are City fans too.

Guys who I really enjoy reading like Sludge, TLG, Steve Davies, Wayne S,Corky, since 62, and many others (they were just the first few to come to mind) post on both boards.

It upsets me to see City fans against each other, and i bet the jacks love it.

Its not a time to fight its a time to unite ( although TVB can be a sneaky double header  ) seriously they attract more snipers as Annis and mods keep better control, this site is like mikes before he lost control of his, his was great like this one when everybody knew everybody and took the banter. thats what in my opinion makes this site better.
