I am just saying we shouldn't get our hopes up that he is going to be some world beater. If he was he would be playing for Newcastle.

Re: CITY LOOKING AT LOANING

He is NOT cup tied either in the Carling cup, he never played against Forest or Blackburn in the 2 rounds Newcastle were in so he should be able to play in the final if need be, please correct me if I'm wrong

Haris Vuckic is on his way to Cardiff City
CARDIFF CITY are on the verge of completing a loan move for Newcastle United midfielder Haris Vuckic.

Slovenian under-21 international Vuckic is understood to be in Cardiff today as Malky Mackay moves to bolster his squad in the loan market.

Vuckic joined Newcastle from NK Domzale in January 2009, making two starts and four substitute appearances.

The highly-rated 19-year-old will become the Bluebirds first signing of the latest loan window, with Mackay turning to short-term deals after failing to land targets Marvin Sordell, Matt Phillips and Craig Noone in the January transfer window.

Vuckic, who attracted interest from Real Madrid and AC Milan as a youngster, broke into the Slovenain senior squad late last year but is yet to win his first cap.

He is now in contention for the Bluebirds clash with Leicester City this weekend, but is cup-tied for the Carling Cup final next month against Liverpool.

VUCKIC FLIES IN ON MAGPIES LOAN
Posted on: Thu 09 Feb 2012

Cardiff City have this afternoon reached an agreement with Newcastle United to take highly rated 19 year old Slovenian prospect Haris Vuckic on loan for an initial month.

The loan period is set to be activated on Friday February 10th and will take in all Cardiff City's league games up to an including Bristol City away on Saturday March 10th. Haris however will be cup tied for the Carling Cup Final at Wembley due to his substitute appearance against Scunthorpe United in the competition - a match that ran to extra time.

At 6ft 3" Haris is hotly tipped for a big future with Newcastle and can play as an attacking central midfielder or in the number ten striker role.

as its the official confirmation....

Just going to copy and paste what I posted on the other thread...

Hi, toon fan in peace.

Just want to say that you've got a good player on your hands, by far one of our highest rated youngsters and could easily start for one of the lower Prem teams. In my opinion, he works best as an attacking midfielder and not as an out and out striker.

Here's his facebook if you fancy adding him, accepts all fan requests: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1028383826

He's an altogether top quality lad as well, not one of these egos that's all too common these days.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I'm sure i read somewhere that DJ had a network of scouts across the UK yet he had only met 1 or 2 of them in person. How the board let him get away with running the club in the way he did is beyond contempt but i guess that is the legacy of the Riddler.

Gareth, What went wrong was he was totally allowed to do what he wanted and no one over saw what he did or ever questioned him. He became very very lazy.

Laziness is a trait that really annoys me. Clearly he had no self-respect nor any respect for our club.

Look at Malky and how he conducts himself at all times-a model professional who is doing what is right for CCFC and not interested in getting his golf handicap down unlike Dave 'hands in pockets' Jones.
