So, you bought a Rover and everything you bought was made in the UK?
I have never bought a Rover and the Torries held seats in Wales.

she sold off all the social housing stock for a fraction of it's worth which helped her win an election ,coupled with the euphoria of the falklands victory which helped win another. fast forward to today and the cost of her policies are starting to tell, there are to many to single out but the worst of all has to be selling social housing stock off, the housing benefit bill today is the same budget as education and defence put togeather, because there is no social sector housing, that is why we are facing so many cutbacks, brilliant bit of forsight mrs t.

Thatcher was pure evil with 'Right to Buy' policy.......
How dare she let a lower income family buy a house without making a profit! Pure evil........
And f*cking LOL at Thatcher having to bribe the UK.
Thatcher was VOTED in THREE times and Major won an election before Labour were given a chance - And Labour had to re-invent themselves with New Labour before they were given a chance again.
And how social housing did New Labour build during their many years in power?
And another f*cking LOL at blaming the lack of social housing on the huge debts Labour put this country into.

why have we got a housing benefit bill of over £45billion a year .becauase there is no where to house them ,just making private landlord rich . and when labour came to power in 97 ,17 years after the right to buy bill came into force they put limits on the amount of discount you could have, around £16k a house or flat so you could not buy your west london 3 bed semi for £30k anymore,if your going post about a subject please research the facts first. as with everything time will tell how good mrs t was and i think history is already showing her bad policies up, and she will be judged on these in time. prior to the falklands she was way behing in the polls and facing losing any election ,after victory in the south atlantic she cllaed a snap eletion and eased to victory.

Re-writing history and facts I see.
How was Thatcher able to get into number 10? - THE COUNTRY WAS SICK OF BEING HELD TO RANSOM.
And shock horror at a PM calling an election after a war - Blair did the same f*cking thing!
Housing would always cost billions and billions - As people get older and live longer the welfare bill gets bigger.
Unless you think all those who bought their house under the 'Right to Buy' would all be dead and those homes would be free?
Don't forget the country VOTED in Major, so the UK was not sick of Thatcher or her policy.
Everyone likes to blame Thatcher to make themselves better.
We don't produce or make anything because the people of Britain didn't buy British.

But I am at a loss why we will spend BILLIONS on the summer games.
But we won't give every city council ten million or so to build new housing.
That would have two benefits.
Create new housing and create work in the building sector that have been hit very hard.

major was up against a very unpopular kinnock amd had the support of the sun (last man to leave uk turn light off).the welfare bill will always rise but the housimg welfare bill alone stands at over £45billion,more than the defence and education budget put togeather, something that would not have happened if we did not sell social housing on the cheap, people could live in a councill house in chelsea for £75 a week instead of the state paying a private landlord £2k aweek for them today.
when i started work i was paying 33% income tax and mrs t brought this down to around 23% no wonder people voted for her.but the flip side to this is she let the nhs ,schools welfare and the rest go to hell.one of the maim reasons labour ran up such a large deficit is when they came to power the country was falling apart, the police and nurses and the rest of the public sector hsd large pay rises and increased numbers.we built new schools and hospitals and a massive infastructure build, something this country had not seen in 20 years. time will judge her and i think it will not look kind on her.she ran the country to the ground and i would like to now which one of her policies was any good, using the millatry in the guise of the police to smash men fighting for their jobs so they can support their families wapping, liverpool dockers ,miners and many more is a cowardly option by a crazy lady who was got rid of by her own in the end. tory party and najor riots seem to go togeather.

First time we had rioting in the streets due to the unfair poll tax....miners strike....manufacturing/engineering which has been the backbone of Britian for years smashed to pieces... god help us if ever theres another war because we have,nt the means to manufacture on a large scale...we would have to go cap in hand to the usa to pull us out of the shit..again..Selling off everything to produce short team gain which equals long team misery..which is whats happening now..thanks to the greedy bankers....the list is endless...put it in a nutshell...the Torys have never given a shit about the working class...if your wealthy you,ll be ok....if on the other hand your hard working on crap wages like most people are you got no chance...and by the way, just to jog peoples memories..the unions were formed to help protect the workingmans rights...i,e..better working conditions etc something that the tories hate,so they took on the might of the miners union knowing full well if they could smash them the whole of the union movement not just the miners but every union in this country would be weakened....I can recall when THAT WOMAN!!!made a speech and said about victorian values etc...to me victorian values means workhouses, soup kitchens, mass unemployment, people living on the streets with no hope of ever bettering themselves...sounds very familiar to whats happening today...and just one more thing just to add...the dreaded VAT...when asked on questiontime years ago..THAT WOMAN was asked had she any intention raising vat from 5% to 8% the answer came back as a firm NO...she raised it from 5% to 12%....that speaks for itself....the tory way of thinking is simple...its F**K YOU JACK IM ALRIGHT
