MIke, yesterday the boys and me did not travel down to the match for many reasons, bloody hard week at work, finishing at 07:30 yesterday, moving home, wife not well and the weather up here.

You know that we travel to the majority of games and whilst yesterday I felt justified in not travelling down it still makes me feel bad that I missed the game (irrespective of the result)

Week in week out in the area that we sit the faces change on a regular basis, maybe the club needs to enforce a % attendance for each season to be able to renew for the following season if people keep bringing this subject up.

With attendance in the FS being mentioned on this board on a regular basis, at the end of the day the club has had, and used the monies from each season ticket holder in that area so they should not care, I have had in the past, a season ticket at Borussia Dortmund whilst having a Cardiff City season ticket too but have not attended every match in Germany.

Only when we have sell out matches and there are still empty seats in large areas should the club look into it. Until then lets just concentrate on supporting the boys

Along with my 2 boys we've had ST's in the Family Stand for 3 years we go to most games including pre-sesson Parma/Celtic along with all the home Carling Cup Games and have friends who use our tickets if we can not make it (rather break a rule than have the seats empty). Some of the seats around us have been used for less than 10 games in total over nearly 3 years. They should only renew tickets if ST holders attend a set amount of games as some people buy the £10 under 9 tickets just to have extra space.

Just my two pence worth :old:

obvious answer is for club not to sell under 9's season so cheap £100 instead of £50 is still cheap yet enough to put people of buying them for the sake of it or on the off chance we get a big club in the cup

I enquired last week and there is no availability for new season ticket holders in family stand

That is a good point, if you pay for the seat then it is your right whether you use it or not but there is the other problem that people who wish to turn up on the day cannot go in the family stand as it is sold out and these people won't folk out the extra cost of sitting elsewhere.

Gwyn/Carl,
I disagree with this though,£10 for a season, no wonder they don't go.
Also it does look awful on TV, I was watching last night, it does look like we are struggling to fill it.

everytime i've wanted to take my 5yr old grandson always been told the family stand is sold out, dont think the ninian or canton stand suitable for 5 yr old

When I picked my seats location, I could of gone right behind the goal - front few rows. I managed to find seats further back, not in as good a position, right next to the away fans segregation barrier. At least I stay dry during the game which was a bigger bonus, can wake up on match day & not worry about my lad getting soaked - sure some are turned off from the weather, looking at the highlights the Family Stand does look empty.

my boy is 3, gone to every game except one where I was working. I do agree its a problem. perhaps the club could look at not letting those who went to less than half the games not get tickets so easy for premier events like wembley. adults perhaps only allowed to go in family stand on own for certain number of games or after that pay for upgrade each game alone. soon bring their kids then. I realise kids could be ill, but not half the season. plus maybe get letters warning those who continue to abuse system. warning they will not be able to renew. just some ideas. can not believe some would say got kids to get a cheap ticket. but suppose it happens

Enforce 'no child, then no adult admitted' - be hard! If not taking your kid(s) you have to move & upgrade the price to sit elsewhere in the ground.

These cheap seats .Why not still charge £10 for under 16 kids and if they attend a certain about of games than that £10 stays the same or even a small increase for inflation etc.

That is then the reward for attending games, people are taking the piss cos its only £10.

I am looking to change my seats next year to sit with a mate and his kids you watch em say we cant fit you in all together its sold out.

We havent missed a home game for around 3 years why should these other people who book seats and dont turn up spoil it for the true fans like us.

The other thing is they will get wembley tickets because they are season ticket holders but I no City fans who love the club but due to work commitments dont buy season tickets but do go to a fair few games. So for the cost of £10 these no shows have it all its simply not fair but I must stress this not the fault of the club as they do a good job in making it affordable for the likes of me what do they do ?

I tried to get 2 tickets for my teenage girls in the family for saturday as they dont wont to commit to season tickets due to over commitments and told all sold out. The missus and I sit got STs in the Ninian and having just forked out over 800 quid couldnt really afford to pay for them to have tickets in the ninian or grandstand and then you see its half empty. Thing is people are paying £9 for ST so they dont care if they only use it once or twice. I fully applaud the £59 price but think the club should scrap the £9 tickets

This won't change until the end of the 5-year price freeze.

a mate got turned down for 3 today £500 the club has missed ut on, plus 2 kids who could be fans for the next 70 years :(

Maybe short term one of the corners could be turned into FS, it was mentioned at a club meeting a few months back.

The club should use the corners of Ninian/Canton and the Canton/Grandstand corner. All kids seats for new st holders should be 50-100 quid.

Yes. There was talk of the GS/Grange corenr being used. And your pricing is spot on.

I think the club has go to do away with the £10 Season Ticket for kids because it's obviously being abused because any adult with one child can pay £339 in total for a season ticket. Then not bother to take the child to any of the matches all season leaving a empty seat which could be potentially filled with another adult paying £329 and this is costing the club a lot of potential revenue.

I think the minimum price for a Season Ticket should be £49 which still only averages just over £2 a game :o and also match by match usage should be monitored.

On the way home from the game on sat myself and the Jenkmeister from Merthyr couldnt believe the weather. It was that bad we where sent through rydyfelin due to a smash on the a470 maybe in conditions that bad train might be the better option for those going to games from the valleys in icy white conditions like that :ayatollah: :ayatollah: If im honest where i was sat block 109 canton end. I didnt think it was that bad a turnout considering either that or ill take a trip to specsavers !!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Disagree sorry mate I think the club has made it affordable for people like me with 2 sons going and I think its a fantastic deal from the club.

The problem is some people have abused the system and the club need to find a way to penalise this people without it effecting the loyal fans who haven't done anything wrong.
