got a likeable name to chant but does not offer anything other than effort.
thats not me being negative against the club I just dont think this guy is good enough
Maybe maybe but Eddie was on around 25k a week, Rudy will be on minimal wages.
Rudy played well against Leicester in the cup which I think was his last start. If we had a bigger squad it would have been nice to have sent him out on loan for a month or so just to get more game time.
i couldnt care if rudy played for free he is simply not good enough
You made the comparison not me
As mentioned above he has had some good games, seems to lack consistency
eh? you brought wages into it????
you said he was like Eddie, I just made the point that he is younger, ours and prob on about 24k a week less, that is all.

It'll come with time. He's a young player adapting to the Championship (remember he's never played outside of France before) and he's done well so far even with his season being fairly injury-disrupted.

We wouldn't be in the carling cup final without his amazing late equaliser against leicester but half the fans weren't there to see that game.

one swallow doesnt make summer
the fact you have to go back to september to point out a goal he scored says it all really
and I remember andy campbell scoring to get us to the championship. hes was crap as well.

I WILL SAY WHAT I SAID FROM DAY ONE HE IS PANTS,AT THE END OF THE DAY HE CAME FROM A DIVISION 2 FRENCH CLUB THE STANDARD OF FOOTBALL IS POOR, YOU WOULD PROBABLY FIND A BETTER PLAYER FROM THE VALLEYS.
WE ARE IN A GREAT POSITION BUT OUR PLAYERS ARE STARTING TO TIRE, I KNOW GOING TO WEMBLEY IS GREAT AND I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE 26TH, BUT I THINK ITS GOING TO EFFECT OUR SEASON, FEBUARY IS A VERY IMPORTANT MONTH, BUT WITH ONE EYE ON THE FINAL I THINK ITS NOT GOING TO BE GOOD FOR US.
BLACKPOOL CONTROLLED THE GAME FROM THE FIRST KICK YESTERDAY AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT IS THE FIRST GAME THIS YEAR WHERE I FOUND OUR DEFENCE WEAK AND GUARANTEED TO LET A GOAL IN.
WE DESPERATLY NEED A STRIKER UP TOP TO EITHER PLAY WITH KENNY OR GIVE HIM A REST, AN EXTRA CREATIVE MIDFIELDER TO TAKE THE HEAT OF WHITTINGHAM ( WHO WAS POOR YESTERDAY ) AND ALSO A CENTRAL DEFENDER WITH PACE
OVER AND OUT!

Jury is still out for me - he offers something different to the rest of our strikers, but its a bit much to say he's still learning as he had several seasons in Ligue One in France beofre joining us and has only scored about ten career goals. That suggests he's not going to be a prolific goal scorer but he does seem to have something as a target man but as we don't play 4-4-2 his chances will be restricted to mainly subs appearances and we may never know as I suspect he will leave us at the end of his deal whatever league we are in.

Hes total shite all round
Sun Feb 05, 2012 10:06 pm
He ent exactly got nothing to prove with 10 minutes left of the game so its hard to judge him!
Plus if you have him and Kenny up front then Kenny is going to get the goals because Rudy is providing Miller with chances. Miller plays deeper than Rudy.

Loan him out to give him more experience, hes good at this level but I think a loan out to a league 1 club will do him good, defo a player to keep becuase when he's in his mid to late 20's he is going to be on fire. If he gets the right experience before hand.

A poor signing from Malky, in my honest opinion.
Mon Feb 27, 2012 1:16 pm
had a great game
Mon Feb 27, 2012 1:22 pm
well i thought he was brilliant yesterday.....he was challenging and winning balls in the air.
well done son
Mon Feb 27, 2012 4:30 pm
Im seeing the potential in Rudy now
Mon Feb 27, 2012 4:35 pm
Rudy.....
Mon Feb 27, 2012 4:44 pm
ball control is abysmal
Mon Feb 27, 2012 5:06 pm
Rudy had a great game? Really? I can't fault the team and the effort everyone gave but rudy was awful yesterday won a few headers that's it, ball controll rubbish can't run with the ball and he falls over easy just like bothroyd that people slated, that's just my opinion though but I can't fault the lads passion

jyst watched the game again this afo and couldnt agree more

He's a young lad and the least we can do is give malky some time to see what he can do with him. He may or may not make it but he seems to have some potential. With some decent coaching and perhaps a loan move next season we may see him develop in leaps and bounds - or maybe not. Let's see. In all fairness though due to the lack of numbers, especially up front, a great deal was being asked of him yesterday and I don't think he let us down. Had a better game than Miller.
Mon Feb 27, 2012 6:19 pm
He's not exactly young he's 24 coming up to his peak seasons of his career, it was always going be tough game for him granted but to me at times looked like he didn't have a clue what to do just going anywhere, like I said can't fault his passion and to last 120 mins was great but he's not good enough yet, miller was good in patches his awareness was outstanding but his touch was good on time then awful on times as is his shooting but he's a workhorse and runs all game long and provides moments of magic but for me he seemed to be dropping so deep and with gestede going anywhere at times didn't look like we had a strikeforce
Mon Feb 27, 2012 6:34 pm
Do you guys who are not that fussed on him like Carrol, Crouch, Carlton Cole, Jason Roberts type players ?
I thought he gave two top class centre halfs a torrid time, never letting them settle. I agree he is not Benzema or Adebayor but we are not Real or Spurs

I don't think he will make it in the championship, maybe a squad player at best
Really nice person/tries his best, but not good enough in my opinion.

im actually a big fan of them type of players, but for me personally i dont rate rudy, hes trys his best thats all anyone can ask for but he just aint good enough and dont know what hes doing at times, most times sees he jumps and hopes for the best but hardly ever works out and hes not good with the ball either, like annis said really nice bloke shows alot of passion but just is not good for this level right now.

Fair point although Him and Kenny have not played many games together and it showed again, not sure if we can blame Rudy for when he won all of those headers the nearest city player to him was on the bench! LOL.
I don't know. We'll see. Great lad, excellent attitude and effort... is he good enough? maybe not but he's all we've got at the moment.... unless Carl can enlighten us with any potential signings this week
Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:10 pm
I remember a time when people said similar things about Whitts
Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:26 pm
iwatched the game on tv, and i was watching him. and i thought. run or do something. he just walked around the field, but sky said . he was having a good game,
Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:31 pm
Thought he played well, gave us that extra option. Held the ball up well and brought others into the game. His best overall game for us.
Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:36 pm
he was knackered yesterday which was always going to affect his performance, he couldnt do much about it tbf
i wouldnt of taken off mason as he still had energy, i would of also considered conway but ahh well, we can say what if
Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:42 pm
hes a vital part of our squad, probably not good enough to start week in week out but has played his part in our success this season after being plucked from absolute obscurity .
I thought malky was correct leaving rudy on the pitch despite him being clearly shattered as he was giving skrtel and agger something to think about, pushing joey mason up top and conway on the wing would have been easier for liverpool to handle in my opinion
Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:46 pm
I think we definitely need a replacement for Rudy.
yes he's brilliant in the air but that's all he can do. he barely chased any balls on the ground yesterday and his ball control is shocking.
Maybe he might be good in a lower league club but I think we definitely need a target man that can do more than be tall.
