neathbluebird is my hero!

I have evidence that Gower is not a part of Swansea, but my 'source' has asked me to keep this evidence private.

MagicDaps, PM me if you want to see this evidence mate.

I have just moved away from Morriston after living there for 25 years and it is not now, or ever was considered as part of the city even by the locals. They go to the Gower to get away from the city. ;)

In exactly the same way as New Yorkers goto central park. :D

Don't be silly. This is a debate about whether or not the Gower is in the city and county of Swansea (it is), not the content of some top secret MI5 counter terrorism document, revealing the identities and whereabouts of it's undercover agents. C'mon, spill the beans... If you've got a scrap of evidence, bring it out so we might all peruse the content.

Sorry Magic Pants, I have spoken with my source and he (or she) is not happy for me to allow this discreet bit of evidence to enter the public domain.

Apparently, only people that live in Gower are able to see this document, which is why they distance themselves from being a part of Swansea.

It's incriminating mate

Yes it is called the City and "County"...Pfttt forget it, you surely cannot be that thick can you?

No more from me on this subject.

Hows the saying go? If you argue with an idiot, he will bring you down to his level and he will win with his vast experience at being at the idiots level. So for that reason magicdaps......I'm out. :D

Well in that case we'll all have to draw our conclusions based on the evidence which has been submitted. Unfortunately for you lot, all that evidence catagorically states that the Gower is in the city and county of Swansea.

I'll submit some of that evidence again for you to peruse at your leisure...

The Constituency lies entirely within the borders of the City & County of Swansea. It is by far the biggest Parliamentary constituency of the three that make up the local authority

Quote taken from the website for Martin Caton, MP for Gower.
http://www.martin-caton.co.uk/working_hard_for_you

The new City and County covers an area of 378 square kilometres (146 square miles), about 2% of the area of Wales.
Extending from Rhossili Down at the western edge of the Gower Peninsula to Kilvey Hill

The City and County can be broadly divided into 4 physical areas. In the north, the Lliw Uplands present an open moorland feature; the Gower Peninsula in the west, a rural landscape with contrasting coasts and a collection of small villages; the urban and suburban centre stretching from Swansea to Gorseinon and Pontarddulais; and the coastal strip around Swansea Bay

Both quotes taken from the official city and county of Swansea website.
http://www.swansea.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=139

So you see my friends, the Gower is very much a part of the city and county of Swansea. Not part of Swansea city centre, as some on here are accusing me of claiming, but part of the city and county of Swansea. Not just administratively, but geographically, and politically. I could also use the argument that every house in every village on the Gower ends it's address with Swansea, but somebody will probably claim that that is just to make it easier for the postman!

I could go on and on and on, but I think it is plain for any sane person to see, that the Gower is part of the city and county of Swansea.
Finally, you can choose to accept the truth as it is, which is substantiated by the evidence submitted, or continue to follow those who use conjecture, hearsay, gossip and rumour as their weapons of choice.

For the second time, M'lud, I rest my case...

I'm guessing by the total silence, that the penny has finally dropped?
You've all finally accepted that I'm right?
Well it was tough going, but at least we got there in the end!

So you're simply going to ignore all the evidence I've provided?
Who said anything about there being beaches in central park?

They go to the Gower to get away from the city.

I was simply making a tongue in cheek comparison to the above statement.

Masive-I think you meant massive and yes ccfc are much bigger than swansea town. Next season we will have more season tickets than you have seats in your council house.

I think that Swansea Lad IQ=69 speaks JACKISH. It is a rare local dialect spoken by locals in the town of swansea. Mush, Innit and Smack are probably the most popular words. The narcotics habit makes them suffer from delusions of grandeur. The fact that their capitals shadow stretches 40 miles west is something that they can't live with.
