no but as it happens i do know people who were
the fact of the matter is that liverpool fans were out for revenge against the italians
there was loads of trouble before the game fighting looting etc
lfc fans ripped down the fence and charged the italians a
in tjhe days following the disaster they blamed chelsea and the national front ?????????????

these tragedies happen. If we were around in Europe the same amount of times as Liverpool in the80's etc, we would have caused trouble everywhere we went. Therefore these teams in Europe with very unorganised and brutal cops, Poor stadium management, and standing terracing were always ingrediants for disaster.

one person i know who was there didnt even go through a turnsile that night the scousers had made their own doorways in.
they had ransacked and looted the stalls outside, robbed jewellry shops and were attacking italians
they had basicly taken over the city

coming home from bury after we won promtion liverpol had just won the championships and were coming back from wolverhampton wanderes .we stopped in the services and in we walked liverpool fans were there quiet a lot of them as we were walking to the shops i looked behind to see where my mate was next thing i knew itripped over this liverpoolfan who was standing up against a wall with his legs stretched out i said sorry to him straight way he replied feck of you welsh cxxt.
i couldnt beliveit lucky for me the lads seen what happened and they confronted him i was only fourteen at the time .one of my oder mates asked him did he want to go outside but he declined the offer and he soon shot off .i have disliked like liverpool ever since

It wouldnt surprise me if that was true. But the fact they were robbing shops outside, has nothing to do witht the deaths at heysel. If you look at most city away games, we go into services or wine racks or local shops and some fans rob everything they can, cause they no they cant be stopped. Times in liverpool were difficult financially and alot of working class lads would have pissed their pants with laughter walking into the top fashion stores in Italy, and i bet most working class cardiff lads would have done the same.
