You're not gonna get anywhere asking fans "would you mind getting back off the pitch sir" you have to physically prevent them getting on the pitch, over zealous stewards are under pressure from the club's hierachy to do certain tasks and on this occasion it was to stop people from entering the playing area, if I'd run on the pitch I'd have no qualms about being forcibly removed by stewards, I'd know the risks and accept them if I was caught, I wouldn't be whingeing like a kitten.

The people with heart and also a brain chose to express their delight by joining their heroes on the pitch and congratulating them personally.
Oh to be young and able for this eh?

mate, me and a few of the boys were saying its so embarrasing. Know few of the players and can tell you they hate it as they just want to celebrate on the pitch, can undersand a few 15 year olds going on but the grown men need to look at themselves, stewards just doing their jobs

Let's be honest, if we were watching a team on TV that we hated (the Jacks being the perfect example here) and we saw their stewards grappling with a bunch of teenagers and throwing them off the pitch by their b0ll0cks while 2000 other fans happily jump around and celebrated around them, we'd all be saying "Look at those inbred Swansea thugs - what a bunch of bellends!"
Whereas if we saw them all jumping around together, with the stewards enjoying the moment and celebrating with the fans, while it would totally pain us all to say it, deepdown we'd all be thinking "Fair play, I wish we had an atmosphere like that down the City!"
Well that is how pretty much the entire rest of England look at us! Go on the Palace messageboard this morning, it's full of people moaning how 'Cardiff are a bunch of thugs, their fans are a disgrace, shouldn't even be in the English League, we don't want them in the Prem, blah blah blah blah blah....'
Last night was a great chance to show the proper passion flowing throughout the club and it's fans and what happens......a load of over the hill fat little stewards who think they're in the Secret Service protecting Barack Obama are seen in the background throwing teenagers around and acting like a bunch of c*nts - totally over-reacting to the situation.
Yes I know their job is to get people of the pitch, but the 8 guys with a piece of rope did a far better job WITHOUT making us look like a club of w*nkers!
