I did notice that Jimmy Kebe was not in the Reading squad of 16 for the Hull game yesterday. He scored against Watford last week and had a pretty good game. There was no mention of him being injured anywhere, I checked for myself. Maybe one of the medicals could be for Kebe??? I hope so, as I think he would add great flair, creativity and goals to the team, and he would help ease the pressure on Whittingham, who is our main creative player in the side at the moment. If we could add Kebe to the City team I can see us scoring even more goals, especially with Kebe and Whittingham supplying Kenny or any of our other strikers.

No doubt Kebe would equal more goals but it will mean we concede more.

It's a small balancing act between disaster and success

Does this mean all the posters moaning about the Malaysian's being tight dispite keeping the club financially solvent will disappear as quick as Midfield General after making a tit of himself on a message board?

Wasn't aimed at you Annis as you have said since the start of the season we need 3-4 more players and stuck by it.

Others however think that just because VT is minted we should be throwing money around like Dave Jones did.

Possible 2 permenants and 1 loan.

If Mackie is one of the above then I'd guess he would be the LOAN signing,
We all know MM even if he has a new Warchest( doubtfull if you've read his interview in the Sunday Mail today)
I don't see him sanctioning a 1.5m bid plus 20k pw wages for one player.

Jimmy Kebe is a gamble as is Lewis Mcgugan, whilst both offer great potence going forward but are questionable in defensive
duties.

Sandanza is a possibility but is another risk as he is unproven at this level.

Wes Morgan is being courted by Leicester as well as us so I imagine they would win a wage war should I go that far,
Sean st Ledger hasn't been mentioned much but is unhappy at his current club.

Carl and Annis will know more than most so hopefully they will let us all know if there will be any good news this week.

Its the typical football fan. So many here wanted to the club to end the days of spending money the Club hasn't got and run with in it means, but they hate it when the Club doesn't go out and spend money . I think every football fan in the country is guilty of that though tbf .

Either way I hope we bring in a winger and a striker :)

I couldn't see anything but a loan move for Mackie, he would be mad to come down to the championship when clubs like Fulham are offering £2 million for him with wages to suit.
Mark Hughes may have had a look at him and think he doesn't have the quality for his future QPR team but may be reluctant to sell to a relegation rival so an end of season loan to City putting him in the shop window for the summer and taking a chunk of wages out of his weekly bill probably helps him.

Kebe has a knee injury which forced him out of the Hull game.

Reading are also being purchased by a Russian Billionaire who has promised McDermott funds to sign players. This may just mean Kebe gets a better contract offer so I think he will likely be staying at Reading.

What I like most is that we the fans are not finding out before anything is finalised and the player has put the pen to paper, so many player lost or affected over the years due to this...especially when when we couldn't sign a player who could player football over a decade ago.
