It's all Fantasy stuff! He wont move from Reading to here, its a sideways move for him so cant see why he would be interested. It's not as if we'd be paying him the big bucks!!

He'll go to the Premier League - Swansea most likely imo.

Though i hope you're wrong i totally agree with this especially as he's played under brenda before as well!

It appears he may be a little bit lazy but he's got undoubted talent and seeing the way Malky has turned Whitts into the player he is now then I'm sure he could do a similar job with Kebe.

Pace, skill and an eye for goal.

so what was whitss pre malky....apart from banging in 30goals over 2 seasons and top assister under DJ :?:

Before Malky he was still a very good player Craig.

What's different this season is the hard work he is putting in, the tackling , the tracking back, the headers!

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that Whitts would be at risk of suspension for too many bookings before Christmas!

Even in those last two seasons, Whitts could sometimes go missing in games and remember many were willing for him to leave at the end of last season. Now he is probably our most vital player and appears to be thriving on the extra responsibilty given to him by Malky.

he covered more ground per game under DJ last season, i love malky but please he hasnt turned whitts into anything other than what he already was

Have to agree, witts had always been a good goalscorer and passer, he had a new role now which changes his game a bit but I wouldn't say his form is any better than previous seasons, IMO he had always been excellent.

What makes me laugh is people said they would drive him to forest for 1m a few months ago are now rating him at 7m

YES top player and this club will suit him, malky will make him an even better player

Re: KEBE TO CARDIFF?

Jezz, I believe you are talking shit. This is the best I have seen Whittingham play, in previous seasons I always thought he was a passenger as he constantly pussied out of tackles, constantly lost his man and never gave his left back enough protection so that the likes of Kennedy and Naylor were always exposed. If he had the opportunity to shoot from a loose ball at the edge of the box but someone was closing him down he would often let them get the ball. Not this year, his reading of the game has improved so he anticipating opponents moves, hes getting stuck in to tackles and he is even challenging for headers!

So yes, I would put that down to Malky. Even when he scored 25 goals a few seasons back I often thought if he hadnt scored he may as well have not played.

Re: KEBE TO CARDIFF?

I would of thought Kebe would want Premier League football (he's good enough) and the wages/signing fee that comes with it.

We cant offer that in this window. That's why I don't think it's a possibility.

Would love to be proved wrong though because he could be a destroyer for us.

He is a great player when he wants to be, but i believe MM can bring the best out of him (technically, mentally and physically) IN MALKY WE TRUST! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Malky will need to make a move - fast.

West Ham have failed with a bid, and I'm sure a few PL clubs will be interested. Would love to see him here!

Last I read WHU had a bid turned down nd Leicester were interested.

Be tough to get him.

Wouldn't say no yo him but would prefer Adomah to be honest. :ayatollah:

Re: KEBE TO CARDIFF?

if leicester do sign billy sharp that would mean that either beckford or nugent would be on the bench... not sure either of these would want that.. id take nugent off them..

as for kebe he has tremendous pace and whos head wouldnt go down after 3 first half goals..

stick him on the wing , we would then have the pace to also hit on the counter attack.. we could then have options with mason and cowie etc... cowie could play in the middle behind miller, kebe and mason either side with whitts in the middle and gunnarsson as he is.

i dont think that leaving reading to come to us would be a sideways step. he knows we have massive ambition, a will to win attitude and great training facilities. Maybe he feels as though it is time to leave reading but still wants to play first team football..

Malky has given him a different role, sit deeper and orchestrate, that's why the gorund he covers is less. Malky has made him more aggressive and he seems to win more in the air
Credit to DJ as he signed him

:ayatollah:

Yeah i'm sure he has a attitude, seen him arguing with Noel Hunt on the pitch on saturday, didn't look too good tbh. You can tell he wants to leave by the way he is with his team mates.

Makes very dangerous runs and has a final product, very fast and rips defences apart! Would never turn him down! :ayatollah:

Most ludicrous anti-dj post ive read on this site and thats going some. He was brilliant that season, besides scoring 25 he set up just as many.

Whitts has been our best player last 3 seasons, credit to both DJ and Malky for getting the best out of him, but most of all credit to Whitts himself who improved his game immensly from his first couple of seasons here, where he was inconsistent.

He stands out more this season because hes the star name in our team. Last few years hes been alongside a number of "star" names ie: Bellamy, Bothroyd, Chopra, Ledley.etc so maybe didnt get as much credit off the average fan.

The way people on here are talking its like Whitts was as bad as Lee Naylor under Jones and all of a sudden hes the best player in the championship.

Anyone with half a football brain appreciated Whitts long before Malky arrived.

I would love to have him here. He's got pace, is direct and was the most creative player for Reading on Monday. If he is available and wants to come to Cardiff, I say sign him up.

Would love Jimmy Kebe here, he could give us that threat of sheer pace out wide which is probably the only thing we lack at the moment in my opinion. I really do believe that with Kebe and maybe one or two more quality signings we really can achieve automatic promotion this season :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: KEBE TO CARDIFF?

The Billy Sharp story is the one I like the most. I also would love to see Nugent or Beckford here, more so than Kebe.

I am not sure on MM philosophy in regard to wingers. Are we talking a 4-4-2 winger like Burke or Dave Bennett (for the oldies) or a 4-3-3 forward like Bellers. Can we play a 4-3-3 ? and wingers sometimes go missing, something this team doesn't do....
