Polo, I promise you the Earnie deal was already done by our Club. Malky gave him his chance after that.
Our Club the Malaysians thought he was our big signing.

Then he covered for the Malays when he said that then, and I believe also covered for them when saying "the right players were not available" last loan window.

Theres also been murmerings from him already "waiting game", "you cannot get quality in Jan" which IMO (which is obviously speculation not fact) means hes working under a tight rein and they are not giving him the full tools to get us promotion.

DJ said they tried to do it on the cheap last year, hopefully last years collapse, and this last two weeks will get them to give MM what he wants.

Yes that is true Polo but he couldn't really say any different in public without upsetting his bosses and the player.

See above. IMO thats not the best way to work. I thought the Malays were all about transparency, especially after Pete "smoe and mirrors" ridsdale.

Again I think your instincts are correct Polo Malky is covering up for a lack of resources.

However, I'm one of those who believe gambling the clubs future on a hope of promotion is fool's gold. We have a great squad who are close nit and work for each other. It is better to work on that, rather than throw good money after bad in a gamble which isn't guaranteed to be successful.

It would be foolish to go all kamikazee but I think they got to speculate to accumulate and invest that little bit extra. The only way they will get a return on their investment is to get to the PL, theres no escaping that.

I really think its anyones this year, there are two places up for grabs. Usually a team has run away with it by now leaving everyonelse fighting for one automatic.

I just hope they dont rest on their laurels thinking "Well we are up the top, we can stay there" and try to do it on a budget.

It is possible, but its a long old season.

Earnie cant even get on the bench now.

Malky was virtually handed Earnie when he arrived and Earnie is not really one of his signings.

What would you do with Earnie ?

The problem is, he is a very high earner, can other clubs afford him ?

Ernie has been and gone. Can you seriously see him adding to the work rate and commitment of this group of players

I agree, but when we resigned him, I was one of the fans who was chuffed we had.
