Today we have taken a very good Reading team to the cleaners as I think the scoreline flatters them. In saying that we are the first side this season to score 3 goals against Reading on their travels and we have had more attempts on target against them than any other team they have played away.

For me a truely stunning performance and taking 6 points off them this season gives us back a little bit of pride after we rolled over and had our tummies tickled in May.

And what about this boy Ralls what a player what an absolute diamond prospect who lets face it wouldn't have got a look in in the last 6 years. Huge credit to Malkay Mackay for believing in this lad if fact huge credit to MM for being himself a passionate, profession, modern day manager who looks like delivering something very special at our club.

In my opinion no other manager since Eddie May has deserved the unconditional support of the board more than MM, please VT & TG give him that support he will not let you down, his team will not let you down like the muppetts last year.

Get the chequebook out and now. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'd be happy with a pacey, strong winger and a creative player like whitts, don't really think we need to waste money on a striker......

In all fairness troobloo3339 there was something fundamentally wrong with the way Jones was managing the team last season. Some of the players brought in were 'duds' such as JET but some you mention did not perform due to the way they were managed. In all fairness to MM I think he will sign players that will fit in and not just grab anyone who is on more than 10k per week like Jones did.

Yep and perhaps cover at right back. Blake just not good enough in that position.

totally agree with you africanblue ,my point is our squad is not that bad, and too many people on here seem to think if we dont splash the cash we will fail and it will be the malaysians not backing mm ,i am totally of the belief that mm will get what he wants, but the amount of money spent will not define anything :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

sometimes loans are the way forward if a/the club have wage money only and b/if you need a certain type of player for a certain amount of time.jan window players prices end up being daft annis.personally i think he,ll get a few loans in ,the board i think will sanction that.they will not want to be stuck with players they,ve paid top dollar for now who they can,t shift in the summer if needs be.all in all though its a great time to be following ccfc.i still fancy blues for the play offs .saints are flapping.its going to come down to bottle and who can keep the players calm and focused.i think mm knows what to do

This is where we agree 2Blue.

I can't understand who you would take out of today's starting line up if we were to bring in 3 or 4 players.

Not only that but if we did how would say Cowie, Gunnasson or Mason feel about being dropped from the first XI and not even making the bench if the squad was bolstered with 4 players?

If the budget really is an extra £750,000 (although I question if we have made that much from the CC run) is that really enough to bring in 4 players who are of greater quality than what we already have?

I extremley doubt it, but I would like to see may be 1 or at the most 2 very good additions who fit the Malky Way work ethic.

2blue I agree with you. Forget the 3 or 4 loan signings let MM sign 1 or 2 of his type of player on a permanent basis.

No time for sentiment Tony. If we can add quality then the guys have just got to buy into it being a team effort not individuals feelings.

but is the money there to pay any transfer fees? i dont think we need any more than two players really. 1 winger for certain as conway seems to have lost what he had in the early part of the season.

More options upfront is a must as well.

If KM gets injured for a long spell we could struggle if we dont bolster the strength in depth in that area.

Rudy is not capable of being the main man for a promotion push. IMO.

yeah agree. in an ideal world, if we have say 5m to spend i would go out and get billy sharp/nicky maynard and snodgrass

but we cant really afford any of them, unless we sell wittenham perhaps?

at times today there were moments of brilliance... the second half where we made about 20+ quality passes and should have stuck the ball away apart form a good federici save..

defensively we did well... if im being picky i thought darcy gave the ball away to cheaply at times.i also hought mason and ralls were superb along with gunnarsson and miller..

reading were coming today looking for another consecutive win and were currently top of the form table. we totally bossed them and ran the show...

true, but i wouldnt blame the owners if they dont throw money at it. look at norwich and swansea last season, they didnt get promoted by splashing the cash. i seem to remember swansea got borini in on loan around this time? this is the sort of signing we need, weather its a loan of permenant isnt important to me.

Well if you're asking the Malaysians to fund transfers then that is running up more debt as it certainly won't be a gift of cash. Therefore you must be happy for the club to be saddled with more debt.

And every manager at every club will always want more players.
