"Backing of the board" sounds very official.
Maybe if we said something like "the board must gamble our club's money that we will get promoted" then it would be easier to decide whether we agree or not.

Then those that want the gamble can say so now and then defend the expenditure and growing debt at the end of the season if we don't get promoted.

I'll join the gamblers.

THE SQUAD NEED'S STRENGTHENING: FACT. And the Board should smell the coffee be for the one glimmer of hope MM loses his patients or begin's to feel let down or worse grabbing His coat. Im sure Malcky is sick to His teeth of hearing how the Board apparently spent vast amounts of money on a Premiership Team without success last season and wish to be more prudent this time around!!! Don't make Me laugh''''''''''''''''''', Craig Bellers apart and a hanfull of games from Rambo what feking Premier Team was that then? Surely NOT the two outstanding loan goalkeepers jones'y brought in on loan?? or JK and most certainly not the Trainee Mr Wenger off loaded? The Board need to get real stop the spin and back Malky, Because it's all looking like Malky wasn't supposed to have the Club right in the thick of things at this point let alone Cup semi final's OR winning cup's even''', The way I see it is like this; The Board allowed Millions of pounds worth of Players walk away Scott free the last two or three seasons yet have the audacity to bring in the Forensic Accountants costing a vast amount money to find a way out of paying Langsdon (Sam) which I find embarrassingly rich coming from the present Owners of Cardiff City Football Club that have encored far more financial losses in two or three seasons than Mr Hamman ever did, One must ask what would the present Board be spinning us If they had a 13,000 gate with an old ground (all be it a wonderful ground} or without the 18,000 or so S T H'rs the Club can now boast, or without the recent reasonable success inclusive of all the pomp and glory the FA Cups/Play offs Wembley's etc..... and a respectable Profile to boot!!!?? Are the Forensic Accountants aware that the present and very recent past financial concerns/Money(s) of Cardiff City Football Club are more relevant and worrying now than ever??!! MM want's and need's more Players!!! Sort it out Mr Tan and Co!!!!!!!!!! :old:

"the present Owners of Cardiff City Football Club that have encored far more financial losses in two or three seasons than Mr Hamman ever did"

Not sure the owners have incurred losses, I think they have lent the money to the club and will expect it back at some point, sounds familiar?
We are all asking the owners, Vincent Tan basically, to either use the money from the cup run and/or lend more to the club in January in a GAMBLE that we will be promoted. I think that's a good gamble but then it's not my money :ayatollah:

In simple terms its how you manage your budget. We are told CCFC generates an income of £20m p/a.

From that the HMRC and staff wages must be paid before anything else.

After that we have repayment of debts including outstanding transfer fees/monies owed to local businesses.

I doubt after that lot there is much left over but if there is then that should go to the manager.

The problem is our expenditure is more than our income, so even savings from loaning players out or prize/gate money from the Carling Cup run has probably been used to narrow that gap, rather than sitting in a bank account waiting to be spent.

Honestly hand on heart if this is how our club is being run then I have no problem with it because VT/TG are looking after our club properly.

As much as I sympathise with Malky over his January transfer budjet, the cold hard facts of finance have to come first.
