Annis - can you or your mods set up a Paypal a/c for this collection? See my post above in this threadfor an idea of the type of email address that would explain exactly what it is etc

Need to get this done asap in order to get the '50 members' scheme up and running.

I see there's another thread about a bucket collection Saturday - reasons why this won't happen are above, in the thread I'm posting in now, plus my alternative of a last minute bucket collection around the pubs Saturday wasn't agreed on.

If you can set this up for your forum, then all the 50 people can donate straight into that to achieve the £700 shortfall.

:ayatollah:

I organise many things, but when it comes to setting up pay pal or internet stuff, I cant even get going, my wife does it all for me.
But she is in the theatre virtually every day and night with my daughter till January 24th.

O NO SHE NOT ! O YES SHE IS !

 Oh well, at least your honest that she wears the trousers fella...

Anyone else on here that you'd allow to do it for you then? There's one offer above from Jhippno :dontknow:

What about Owain - does he still do all the background stuff on here?

Obviously needs to be someone you can trust as there could be a large sum of money involved. All I'll say is that the 50 members idea is a great one, and time is already running away.....

How`s the panto going so far?

Is your daughter one of the dancers again this year?

Acting , singing and dancing is a lovely thing for them to get involved in at an early age but , believe me , can be a nightmare when they get older and take it up professionally. If you think you are spending time and money now , wait til then!!

I don't think anyone would have any problems with you doing it Arfur if you were interested.

Arfur, as Tony has said, I don't think anyone on here would mind if you took the bull by the horns. I don't know you, or have never met you, but if the good people of this board can trust you, that is good enough for me, and if a Jack can donate a tenner, then surely donations from here would flood in. I know it's Christmas but just have one less drink and donate that £ 2 or £ 3 it all adds up. Good Luck and Go For It. ATB. Reeco

Annis, I bet your Daughter performing a big production like that, would be the equivalent of you playing for Cardiff City. You and your Family must be so proud. ATB. Reeco

You aint seen nothing yet!!

Wait til she gets old enough and starts asking you about going to one of the London dance or drama colleges - start saving now!

Mind , even if the pocket takes a hit , the pride grows even more when they achieve it as the entry levels are so difficult to reach. I remember when my middle daughter applied and there were over 2,000 applicants for just 30 places :o And it wasn`t much different with my younger daughter.
And now they are members of a profession where they will probably be unemployed more often than they are employed.

Keith.
Its sad to hear that the Musical/Theatre industry has been really hit and especially with all their talent and their dreams they all have. Who knows what lies ahead.
