The best way to improve atomsphere:

Do work on the stadium!
Mocreambe fans pinched in and helped do the stadium up make it more home put some flags up etc it will work

Weve got 4 big f**k off "Malaysian" flags in each flags. Really feels like home that.

The fans didn't decide to stick those up though the board do, who are Malaysian and trying to extend our links with Malaysia. personally i would rip 3 of them down and stick 2 bluebird flags up, 1 welsh and 1 malaysian in each corner. Dando's trying to say get the fans ideas on how to improve the stadium's atmosphere which I think it's a great idea.

What Im at a loss at is im surprised the supporters trust havent championed more ideas for the fans side of things. I mean the original ultras that tried to do things in the Canton had some great ideas surf the giant flag, encourage flags across back of Canton, Balloons etc all geared for fans who wanted to enjoy a more colourfull proceedings to home. However the stewards banned flags coming in, The balloons several hundered were actually purchased for a home game were laid out only then to be confiscated. And when the Giant flag was surfed which I participated in they tried to ban that saying it wasnt fire proof and involved Corky having heated discussions with the club. Effectively they didnt want any further chanting/ banners flags and tried to stifle things. Now....... Things have moved on new backroom staff onboard and the club actually to my astoundment introducing the singing area in the canton. They are clamping down still in the Ninian and It does look like in year or two we we will be all in the Canton behind the goal. Now suddently we have our very own Kop or Stretford end and on a personal note I would love to see flags waved and surfed and scarves held aloft in that area. The Gary Speed tribute against Blackburn the Canton looked fantastic with all the flags and scarves. Brings me back to my original point here that are the trust able to introduce ideas to the clubs for giant flags waved like the kop, arrange an account for these to be purchased and stored at the club. We need more help as fans. The original ultras tried but hit brickwalls and no replies from the club, with the trust I wonder whether they can now look to more fan supporter measures. I mean even a flag day, whereby the club promote this and through the forums we champion it , spread the word and one game a season encourage all fans to wave welsh city flags. I agree the concept of Ultras as we know it derived from Italy is a bit over the top with their off the pitch , threating chairman and players etc, But I do feel there is scope at our club for some events with the fans.

I am up for that, get some colour introduced to the terrace!

you can have loadsa colours, flags, scarves etc without calling us the Cardiff Ultras


the atmosphere debate goes on and on and I for one agree its total shite at times but the only people to blame really are ourselves

there have been a few occasions this season when the atmosphere was decent which proves it can be done

the club are not going to swap the Canton with the Grange so as fans, we need to do more

that includes flags, scarves and more importantly NOISE

I am in the Canton, smack bang in the middle and even when I start singing I get the looks as if im a criminal

ultras destroyed all grown roots and structures in the german club szene... everywhere the same monotone "ooooouuuoooohhhouuuu... ale ale ale...oooouuuuohhhuhhohhh... *club name*..."

atmosphere's shite, its a bit noisy, yes, but hardly any supportive for the players. you need the passion of the crowd to kick start a performance on the pitch, all the ultras do is show off big time, play the hard guys and project themselves as the clubs biggest and only true fans. permanent flag waving, guys with their backs towards the pitch etc...

Ultras are the reason why I dont go and watch German footie anymore... i am after an "evil" atmosphere, like we had in block A at games like wolves, brum, leeds, jacks etc... the place was rockin, you hardly could understand your own word... f*ck me...feels like yesterday and like a million years ago at the same time...


Ninian Park, Grandstand, Block A... where are you now? I miss you...
