Be honest, how did you feel the game was going ? I def felt it had a nil draw written all over it.

More than pleased with another victory :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Still think we need a few more players, but in Malky I trust. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis Forest come to park the bus and as usual with any team managed by Cotterill they made sure any goalkick, throw in or free kick it took about 2 minutes to get the ball back into play. They were also uncomprimising i their defending as at one throw in bu gunner two forest players were pulling Ben Turners shirt in different directions, and right in front of the referee. Because the referee did nothing it just got worse.

As you say Malkay made an early change and bang the extra movement from Mason and we get the goal and we have a different game. Then it's over to the defence who fought for their lives to protect the lead and get the win overall we deserved. I would prefer to call the game yesterday as tense rather than boring but at the end of the day that was a HUGE win for us as with other results yesterday after Tuedays league matches we will be no worse than 4th.

Gary, its a great position to be in, Last 8 of the Carling Cup on Tuesday night and not even playing in the league and the worst that can happen to us is ending up 4th in the league, I loving it. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I thought we became very disjointed last 20 and gave away too much ball - they had chances to equalise.

This is where our lack of squad was evident. That last 20 was made for a player like (or better tan)Gestede to spoil their centre halfs and hold the ball up, get flicks etc.

I like Millar but in the champs -his size is his weakness.

A great win in dour game- didnt expect anything else to be honest
the forest team seemed a foot taller in most positions, both Turner and Gerrard are slow too.

To be fair castleblue we took a lot longer to take our throw ins than them. Everytime Gunnerson took a throw wiping the ball. Each time the ref stopped his watch .

Annis, I will take a boring 1-0 victory every game. It wasn't the best game to watch, but as long as the players give 100% and we win, who cares? Also, the fact it was a boring game with not many chances shows we are getting things right in defence, although I thought Gerrard was very lucky at the end, he got the wrong side of his marker and his hands were all over him. Luckily their player was too honest, if he went down it would have been a stone wall penalty.

Fair point about Gunnar Nukes but the point I was making was we didn't have Macnaughton walking over to take a throw in before deciding to walk away and leave it to Cowie who then decided to leave it to Gunnar who then looked for a towel. Forest did until we went a goal up and this attitude does little to promote entertaining football. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Forests plan was to kill the game. They got what they deserved from the game really. f**k all.

So did we... Three points!!

Only one team wanted to play football
