Even then Messi doesnt convert every chance, Vidic doesnt make every tackle, thats football, you got to accept that mistakes happen.

As for Hudson costing us the points at Leeds is totally laughable, he cleared countless balls, and got in 2 goal stopping blocks, one a definite goal off Ross 1st half. He throws his body where some people wont throw their feet.

As for the goal, people forget Taylor didnt even jump for a ball he was 70/30 to win and the Leeds player flicked it on. Snodgrass was quicker to it then Hudson but thats football, you cannot win every challenge.

Some people need to get their head out of their arses.

very true, we would've been smashed if he wasn't there too block so many shots

Are you saying that Keinan, Blake & Gerrard especially, wouldn't throw their body into these tackles you speak of, cos that is really laughable!

You've pointed out something here, that we've known for quite some time, as I could still get to the ball quicker than Hudson, but I also thought you said in your previous post(s), that Hudson reads the game quicker than anybody else?

No thanks you are going to need as much as can get hold for yourself if you keep making such ludicrous, short sighted posts.

I think the fact DJ and Malky, both centre halfs, choose Hudson over the others mentioned, and also made him captain speaks more for me than some sheep dipper from bandit country.

People's posts are only ludicrous & short sighted, if they don't agree with your views, which is when you have to resort to posting immature insults & threats!

For your information, I may live in sheep dipping territory, but I'm originally from the Rhondda and I saw quite a bit of sheep dipping whilst I lived there as well! Pathetic insult from you really, merely because I disagree with your views, that your idol isn't good enough for Cardiff!

Youve summed yourself up pretty nicely there.

Read back through the thread, I think youll find its you who started to get arsey and condesending because your views were not agreed with.

Think you'll find that I got sarkey with one poster, as he called me a tw*t and accused me of taking delight in seeing Hudson make mistakes, which I don't btw! It isn't the first time, that the same poster has thrown name calling insults at me and whilst this doesn't bother me, I'm not one for lying down and taking crap and will fight my corner!

Back to Hudson, there's nobody who's been more delighted that we've picked up back to back wins, whilst keeping successive clean sheets and whilst Hudson has put in vastly improved performances, over the last couple of games!

To be honest, this is probably down to the fact, that he knows he's second choice centre back at the club with Malky at the moment, as Turner is clearly first choice and he has Gerrard, Keinan & Darcy breathing down his neck!

Whilst I'd also be overthemoon if we could keep this momentum going, with Hudson in or out of the team, I still think that we've got better centre backs at the club than him!

Fair enough, will agree Turner is number 1 but personally dont think any of the other 3 are a better option than Hudson, they have all got their flaws, so will have to agree to disagree. :ayatollah:

Go on then, name a 'catestrophic error' from the past couple f seasons ?

All I can think of was the pen when Mackail Smith tricked him. In fairness I beleive that was the first penalty he'd conceded for us in 80 games.

Peterborough away about 4 weeks ago, where he stepped up to catch a player offside, who was in his own half and Leeds away only last week, where he allowed Snodgrass to get goal side of him and failed to get a toe in! ;) :) :ayatollah:

Forgot about his own goal in the Barnsley match 2 weeks ago! :)

Come on, they aren't 'catestrophic' errors. The whole back 4 was caught out at Boro and the centre forward nipped in between him and Turner at Leeds. Hardly 'catestrophic' errors.

It depends on what you class as Catastrophic! Hudson is the captain and leads the line, so as the organiser and captain, he's in charge! He chose to step up, having pushed the rest of the back four up to the half way line and was caught out! If the captain calls for the defence to play offside and he steps up and plays somebody onside, then surely he has to take responsibility!

If Turner or one of the other defenders had stayed back when Hudson had called them to get forward and they had played somebody onside, surely they would then take the blame!

The mistake at Peterborough cost us 2 points! Is this catastrophic? We won't know until the end of the season!

I'm thinking about examples like the goal Blake gave away against Leicester.

How many points did the Blake mistake cost us against Leicester? Hardly catastrophic if it doesn't cost us any points and we went on to win on penalties!

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying that Blake is the answer here either, just that Hudson over the course of the season won't be either!

Hate to repeat myself, but our best 2 runs over the past 2 seasons, have been when Hudson has been out of the side injured!

Thats not strictly true though is it ? For a start
we've just won 4 and drew one of our last 5. Thays better than any 5 game run when he's been out. 4 wins and a draw at the start of last season. 6winds and one draw in 7 last sept/oct.. and thats just going back 1 season.

But lets not let the REAL facts get in the way of your bias.

Going on to catestrophic, the WHOLE defence were caught against Peterboro and the fact you just want to blame one player shows your agenda. In fact Turner was last man and if anyone he should be blamed -although it would still be ridiculous to pin anything on him -we just got hit on the break when we were pushing for a winner.

As for the goal from Snodgrass, the lad got in quicker - as he would have against most,a bit like when Maynard skinned Gerrard, he most likely would have done that whoever he was up against. Hudson wasn't alone in being to blame there, although he, along with others, really should have done better others were slow and lost their men, but again you feel its fair to describe it as a 'catestrophic blunder' to back up your pretty weak argument.

Blake's mistake couldn't be shared -it was a cock up and could clearly be described as 'catestrophic' as it clearly cost a goal. But in your eyes thats OK because it was a league cup game

Bakedalasker's contribution from 2 seasons ago (since when Hudson has played 70-80 times for us) was more relevent than the 2 you mentioned, because at least that WAS a cock-up.

But never mind if it makes you feel better to dig deep to try to discredit an important member of our squad who is good enough for Malky, Jones, Curbishley, Taylor, Dowie (OK maybe thats not so good  ) and Warnock to have as their captain.
