jUST GOT HOME,What a brilliant day,we managed to get some great footage and interviews and I am inputting it as I type,I will post some small bits of the day 2nite if i can but It will take a day or two to put together a nice presentation,Thank you to all the people we talked to,Reeco,Gary,Annis,Jason Perry,all the players and fans who chatted,We didn't get to speak to Carl due to the fact he was running around like a blue arsed fly getting things done,maybe next time,Thanks to Wayne(CCFC anouncer for helping us along.We didn't capture all the goals but I am hoping those nice people at sky tv/S4C etc will forward the footage.

What a fantastic day, Made we proud to be a Welsh football supporter. Credit to everyone who worked hard. And I would like to thank Fez and the Barry Horns for helping make it an occasion not to forget. The Jacks everyone one of them player and fan I fully respect you each and every one of you. Lost for words TBH a great tribute for Mike

I can only add to the praise already given to all the organisers, the Swansea boys and Chris Dye as the occasion obviously meant a lot to him and one way or the other he was determined to lift that cup.

Like everyone else I thought the No. 20 was amazing but I would add the Centre-Back No 4 who scored the first goal is well worth a mention in despatches.

Man of the Match for me though had to be the Swansea goalkeeper who was a right character. Took all the stick with a smile on his face and he even produced the odd brilliant stop, which was astonishing considering he was about 4 foot nothing and had a dodgy knee

Dont know if he was pissed or not, but he heckling me so bad on the left that I had push inside (so to speak)

just saw a bit of footage on ssn.im really pleased for everyone who was involved.it sounds like it was a top day.take my hat off to you all.the swansea lads have took some awful stick off some of there own in the build up to the game so big respect to the jack lads.its been a great week for welsh sport.hope you win the rugby now we,re on our way home...take care lads you did m.d,s family proud.

the game kicked of at 2:00, infront of a crowd of aprox 500.

the weather was very cold wet and windy, and reminded me of a proper sunday league type of game.

swansea took the lead in the opening minutes from a clear penalty, and then doubled there lead not long after with a nice bit of play and a cross which lead to a headed goal in of the post.

swansea looked by far the better team, they were trying to pass the ball and were playing a good style of football, although it was clearly difficult in the conditions. Cardiff however found it hard to get into the game and looked very scrappy.

then as the game went on cardiff got a bit more confident on the ball and tried playing football on the ground and kept themselves in the game with a goal just before half time.

however there was controversy as the lines-man had flagged for a ofside just before the goal that that the referee missed, the goal was a very nice volley accross goal from the edge of the box. swansea players were very angry and swarmed the linesman, who after talking with the ref, decided to allow the goal. this was likely given due to the nature of the game.

at half time both teams made lots of changes and both teams grew in confidence. the quality of the play was much better, and the crowd really got into the game.

which was due part to cardiff's number 20 a young midfeilder and only black player on the pitch, who really was a class above.

he beat 3 defenders to lay the ball onto chris dye, mikes son. who slotted in the corner.

now 2-2 cardiffs number 20 was instrumental in the rest of cardiff's game.

then half-way into the half, a cardiff centre-back smashed the ball up field only to bounce infront of the goal keeper and over his head.

cardiff 3-2 from half way line.

then in the closing minutes the game was sealed with a header at the far pst from another Cardiff defender.

all in all a great game and day, the band was a nice touch. and was good to see mikes son score.

my man of the match is: cardiff number 20.

Chris, that's a great match report and spot on mate. I felt the Swansea lads in the first half were the real deal and at one stage thought that we were in for a cricket score but our lads turned it around. Jason Perry's experience rubbed off onto us, what a legend and a nice guy.
A great day all in all and utmost respect to the Jacks, players and supporters alike, a lot of people in Swansea and Cardiff thought this would never work but we all proved them wrong. Mikey would have been so proud of us all and especially Chrissy and Jayo who played very well with so much determination for their father's sake.
Well done to everyone for making this happen.

spot on Justin, I agree with you. We should all join together on Wales trips and this would be a great start, 4 clubs 1 country and everyone that was there yesterday, players and supporters should bring to Welsh games the togetherness that everyone showed because afterall we are WELSH
