I went on Tour there in 2009 to Minehead for the "School Reunion Weekend". Was a cracking weekend but if you think it's going to be full of Women wanting a "shag" then think again. Basically it's 12 men to 1 woman there. And on the first night me and one of the boys were having a beer in front of the stage while watching the acts and got jumped by a group of men in their 30's. Didn't spoil my weekend though as I just let it go to the back of my head and got pissed.

Been to minehead on an 80's weekend, Really good laugh and i hope we get a forum piss up there sometime soon.

Darren just put minehead butlins adult weekends into google and the website will come up.Do it through Butlins direct and not Thomas Cook.

we use the same website as you mate,

only difference is we can take lower deposits, dont need all the names at time of booking and sometimes we get exclusives with abit of extra discount on the website prices..

we did a booking for a stag do of 22 people for the march 90's reloaded weekend and it worked out at 79 per person with a 25 quid each deposit..

best thing, check the butlins website then phone your local thomas cook to see if they can get you some free places or a group discount.

also you are entitled to an extra 5% discount for being a cardiff city supporter through the holiday clubs.. cardiff city also get a % kick back on the booking off thomas cook so everyones a winner..

I had my stag party there. Absolutely awesome, great atmosphere with no trouble. It's worth making the effort to dress up though cos so many people do, you'll look out of place in smart clothes.

why dont you try and make 1 of the get togethers we have and introduce yourself? a few of the regular piss up attendees usually meet up for a beer before most home games so let us know if your interested and then pop along and have a beer or 3

I will defo be there too seeing as is only down the road like. I like have others have been there too, many times on footy tours and stag do's (my own included), agree with most of what's been said above, never seen any trouble, drinking from waking up in morning to finally gettin to bed in early hours the following morning - let's face it f**k all else to do there unless you want a trip on the steam railway from Minehead along the coast ending up in Taunton, visiting Dunster castle, or boat trip on The Waverly from Minehead to Penarth (just in case anyone's missing their mum). Used to be a bar there called Jumping Jacks but thankfully they changed it's name a few years back, think it' scalled Malone's now. Anyway missus is off down there in Novmeber with her mates, so what goes around, comes around, bring it on

Ive done two, the 70's one with the missus, and the 90's one on a stag do. Both great weekends, both carnage. Though I wouldn't recommend going with the missus though, it seemed as though we were the only couple there.....the weekend is mainly single sex group pi55ups (stag and hen dos etc).

They are basically like a club 18 - 30's holiday weekend. Everything is revolved around getting minging.

There are many bars in the pavillion.....Reds, Centre Stage, the Sports bar, cocktail bar, and loads of eateries. Beer is expensive, carlsberg and coors lite on tap.....so would recommend taking a few crates down with you as the local tesco gets relieved of its alcoholic stock rather quickly. Then have a good drink in your chalet before heading out.

Would definately recommend paying for meals up front, that way your breakfast and evening meal (which I think is good quality) Friday night through to Monday morning is sorted.
